Good tool

Tests GFIs, shows improperly wired outlets, allows amp reading for plugged in devices with your clamp on meter. Well made.

Handy tester and cheap enough to just use as a branch circuit pilot light. I use one in each of my greenhouses and at night I can see the LEDs from the house to confirm that power is still on for the electric heaters after the lights go off.

Works. Just about it really.

If you want to test an AC receptacle and the actual current flow on an outlet then this is the ideal tool to help you.

Great way to check your electric plugs

Well, it’s super tough to get a heirloom quality tool these days, so don’t expect that. But this essential tool works well enough. 4 stars for accuracy. Both the 1X and 10X slots should read the same (decimal point should just be moved over 1 place), but they are 3/10ths of an amp off from each other at 12 amps. That’s not too bad, but it’s not what it should be.

Just what I needed to keep down the number of electrical toys that I seem to loose/walkaway.

Like others have mentioned not all clamp meters will fit 1x slot.. Two of the 4 clamp meters I regularly use will not fit.

Accurately tested several outlets. would buy again. Reliable.
