> 3 daymy work gives out seasonal sweaters during the holidays that are just 100% cotton sweat shirts with our company logo on them, but we wear them nonetheless. I wanted to give the girls on my crew some flare to our uniforms so I used this kit on a couple of old sweaters we had. they came out so good! now we can match at work, and stand out a little from other stores. I used this kit with the crumple method, pre-wet them, dyed them and let them sit in a plastic bag over night. I rinsed them out in my sink until the water was clear and threw them in a (laundromat) washer and dried them, they came out wonderfully! I also died them a single diluted color first to make sure I wasnt getting any white in my final sweaters. i squirted a little dye in a big bucket with about a liter of water in it and squished the sweaters around before squeezing the excess water out, bundling them up, and dying them. this gives them a soft base color for your bright saturated colors. I also kept like-colors together to prevent browning.

> 3 dayI can’t even remember the last time I tie dyed, I think I was in summer camp or girls scouts—either way, it’s been a long time! This kit makes it so simple and easy that anyone can do it, especially since it comes with an instructions and design techniques booklet so no one has a hard time. I dyed one shirt to test it out, since I’m pretty rusty, and it came out beautiful and vibrant. My only cons are that it’s super messy, even before I started dying I had dye all over my hands because the caps weren’t screwed on very well, but it comes off pretty easily so I wasn’t too upset. The bottles are also small, I wish they were bigger, but other than that I have nothing but great things to say. I’ll definitely be purchasing another one so I can keep tie dying!

Greater than one weekThe good: there we re a lot of colors to choose from, my daughter and I ended up doing 6 shirts and we used half of the colors (saving the rest for another time). Some of the colors were pretty similar, but that made it easy to split the kit in half. The bad: I followed the directions exactly as given, but once I washed the shirts out, they looked very faded, like we made them years ago. The kit we got last summer produced much more vibrant colors that lasted after washing, and look more vibrant even now, a year later. Overall, it is a nice kit, especially in terms of color variety and amount of product you receive. It is easy to use and comes with design suggestions (which we used, and we made some pretty cool patterns).

Greater than one weekVery easy and convinient to use. I highly recommend putting gloves on when filling the bottles with water. The colors do stick wellmon cotton clothing. We used almost all the bottles except repeat colors for 3 adults and 2 children and had about 3 articles of clothing each, not including socks. Still had leftsovers that can be used for a second round. I do like this brand and would purchase again in the future.

> 3 dayOverall, I was really satisfied with this kit. The variety of color was great, and the vibrancy of the shirt has lasted through several washes. The kit included everything I could need. It was all super convenient and easy. My only small complaint was that it was hard to seal the bottles completely, or maybe that some water with dye spilled over as I was filling them in the sink, because when I shook them up to mix the dye, a little spatter would escape each time. However, I had no problems with that while I was actually using the bottles to squirt dye, so it really wasnt a big deal. Besides, you gotta expect tie dye to be messy. I would definitely recommend this kit.

> 3 dayI am a teacher and got 9 of these kits through a DonorsChoose project (through Amazon) to dye 125 shirts for our field day event. These kits were even better than I expected, they come with a big clear plastic cover, tons of rubber bands, gloves, and bottles with pre measured dye. All we had to do was fill the bottles with regular tap water. A bunch of other teachers and kids helped and we had a blast doing this. We were able to do more shirts with each kit than expected and didnt even have to use them all. We rinsed, washed, and dryed them after letting them sit over the weekend. They came out super vibrant. (We did not pre wash them before hand). I did some for myself and have washed them several times and there has been no fading yet. The best part about this kit is that it comes with such a huge variety of colors. I am sure I will be buying more of these in the future.

> 3 dayThis is an extremely messy process but so fun. I set up a grate over my stainless steel sink and dyed the shirts individually over it. Between shirts, be sure to rinse your sink AND the grate or you will transfer color to the next shirt while working. It was my first time tie dyeing and I was surprised by how easy it was. I watched a few videos on Youtube and jumped right in. Im a bit obsessed now! Haha I made 6 (plus size) adult shirts, 5 toddler tshirts, 5 youth size M shirts, and 5 youth size XL shirts with this kit in combination with another smaller tulip kit (celestial). I had a littlw bit of trouble with the powder in the purple. And it definitely did some major bleeding on the projects. Only the purple though. All other colors were clear and beautiful.

> 3 dayMy boyfriend loves his tie dyed Bombas socks but you can’t get them anymore. So, I ordered white ones and got this kit to do our own. I washed them first, then soaked them in soda ash solution for 20 minutes (bought a small package of it at Walmart) and then applied the colors. The little squirt bottles made it easy to apply the color. Sure, some leaked a little bit, but not bad. I put each pair of socks in a separate ziplock bag and let them set up for around 2 hrs. Then I rinsed heavily with cold water until water ran clear then took off rubber bands. Once rubber bands were removed I rinsed again until water was clear. Now time to wash them all. I love how the colors came out. I would definitely recommend this kit. It does say to let the color sit on the item for 6-7 hrs. Because I soaked in soda ash first I didn’t feel this was necessary. Also, be careful not to let items touch one another after you rinse and remove rubber bands. The colors can bleed until they’ve been washed a few times.
