> 3 dayI am a teacher and got 9 of these kits through a DonorsChoose project (through Amazon) to dye 125 shirts for our field day event. These kits were even better than I expected, they come with a big clear plastic cover, tons of rubber bands, gloves, and bottles with pre measured dye. All we had to do was fill the bottles with regular tap water. A bunch of other teachers and kids helped and we had a blast doing this. We were able to do more shirts with each kit than expected and didnt even have to use them all. We rinsed, washed, and dryed them after letting them sit over the weekend. They came out super vibrant. (We did not pre wash them before hand). I did some for myself and have washed them several times and there has been no fading yet. The best part about this kit is that it comes with such a huge variety of colors. I am sure I will be buying more of these in the future.

11-04-2025Kids LOVED every single part of the process. The preparation, the actual dyeing, the waiting and the washing and wearing! It comes with every single thing you need to tie-dye. (Aside from the fabric you wish to color) And it comes with a lot of dye. The instructions are very detailed and even have a few tutorials on various patterns you can use. We managed to dye so many pieces with this kit...I do believe, 6 shirts, a tapestry(which was a queen sheet) and a pillowcase with a lot left over. It says to use the dye within 1 hour of mixing them up becuse it will begin to fade and the colors wont be as vibrant. Which was plenty of time. The kids cant wait to do more. The clean up is super easy and its not messy. We used baking racks to dye ours on outside and tang worked well. We wrapped them in plastic grocery bags we had lying around and then wrapped them the plastic tarp it comes with. In the Texas summer heat. We rinsed and washed them 9 hours after they were finsihed dying and the colors are still vibrant after going through the laundry a few times! Cheap and easy fun!

> 3 dayI have bought this kit 3 times now, and I love it! Colors stay bright after multiple washes (in cold or eco-warm-just because thats what I usually run the washer on). I made burp/spit up rags and crib sheets with the first batch so they have spent quite a bit of time in the washer, not to mention that I have soaked them in Oxyclean and it doesnt ruin the colors. The first 2 pictures are all the items I did with one single kit this last time (dont mind the gag gift boxers LOL). The final picture is from when I first tried this kit 15 months ago and it has survived well through all the washings and the Oxyclean soaks. I do suggest cotton fabric but I noticed that some brands put a thin waxy coating on their fabrics to keep it clean for shipping, so I just wash them on warm with just a little detergent and dry them before binding them. I had no problems with the brands Haines or Fruit of the Loom and didnt prewash them, but had to massage it a bit as I dyed them for full saturation. Heres what I did: 1) I rubber band the fabrics I want to dye with the rubber bands included in the kit, but I also pick up an extra package or two of rubber bands just to make the designs more intricate. 2) I fill each bottle with half the needed amount of water, replace the caps and shake well to dissolve all powder because sometimes the powder can get stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Then I fill the bottles up the rest of the way and shake again. WEAR GLOVES even at this stage or you will have to scrub for days to get it off your skin- like I did, which made my job interview the next day a bit awkward. Hah. ALSO, leave the bottles standing or tilted upright once filled as they tend to leak laying down. 3) I lay out an old plastic shower curtain out in the yard in the shade, get comfortable with a drink and go to town- I use paper towels to wipe up spilled dye between switching colors so it doesnt transfer to other parts of my fabric. I work from lightest dye to darkest on each binded garmet. Also, if I noticed the dye was beading on the fabric and dripping off without absorbing, I just go slow and easy on the dye, and use a gloved finger to massage it in a bit so it will soak into the fabric then it would easily accept the dye when I add some more on. 4) I put all the projects in a tightly knotted plastic garbage bag and leave them in the shaded garage overnight. 5)The next day, I snip the rubber bands and use the garden hose to rinse out and wring out all of the garments. I suggest using running water from a hose or faucet instead of rinsing them in some sort of prefilled tub or basin to keep the white parts from soaking up leftover dye and being less vibrant. 6) I hang them out to dry fully for a few hours, then I machine wash them on delicate, cold water with an extra rinse and spin. After first initial washing, I just toss them in with the rest of the laundry (except whites of course) and I have had no issues yet. Hope this helps!

> 3 dayThis was one of my favorite Amazon purchases. The tie dye was easy to prepare and use. The colors came out beautifully. My friends and I are ready to buy another set and dye more things. The only thing I would change about the kit are the gloves. They were big and unwieldy, we swapped them out for better fitting gloves.

> 3 dayI had several bottles that leaked when shaking to mix. The cap was on correctly. Wont return because I still used them. Color is vibrant until you wash them, then it fades

> 3 dayWow, this set made tie dye as simple and fun as possible - but also produced results that exceeded our expectations! We were all surprised and impressed by the designs that came out. This set comes with 18 squeeze bottles of colored dye powder. Each bottle is marked with a fill-to line, and you just have to add water and shake to turn the powder to dye. The bottles have a narrow nozzle that makes applying the dye easy to control. The colors are a really nice mix and are all super vibrant. Everything you need for the actual tie dye process is included - rubber bands to hold your shirts in place, and table cloths/covers to prevent the dye from getting onto surfaces. Theres a cool little instruction pamphlet with clear instructions on how to achieve different popular tie dye designs (simple swirl, etc.) that helped us get nice results.

> 3 dayThis is a GR8 beginner kit, until youre ready to invest hundreds of $$ in large quantities of dyes and all the goodies that youll need, and you dont have to use every bottle at one time. The plastic table cloth and Lots rubber bands came in very handy, and while I have my own rubber gloves that fit better, I used the ones enclosed. I learned that you should check the gloves for holes before starting. I got my white cotton clothes And got in the mood to kreate. I started off by adding water to 5 different color bottles and by overlapping some of the colors while I was applying them, I was able to get some other shades. As per the instructions, you wrap the wet, dyed items in plastic for several hours, so I used part of the plastic table cloth and that worked very well. Using only those 5 bottles, I dyed 3 pair of thick tiny infant socks, a short sleeve onesie for a 1 year old, a short sleeve t~shirt for a 4 year old (on the thin side) and a t~shirt for an 8 year old (on the thick side) and everything was well saturated, as it should be. I kind of wish Id taken a look at some videos on YouTube on tie~dye techniques, which I will most likely do next time, but I also figured some things out After I took the rubber bands off, like use the rubber banded areas as the line to change colors. In any case, as an 8 year old little girl trapped in the body of a 57 year old woman, I had a lot of fun (and so did Karlo, who was keeper of the box).

> 3 dayEverything you need to make tie-dye shirts, or whatever you want to decorate. I bought this kit to do with my nieces and we were able to make 8 shirts with die left to spare. Look online for even more design ideas and enjoy doing a fun activity that everyone can participate in.

> 3 dayThe colors turned out great! I did soak the sweatshirt overnight in the dye. I do think if you are going to use for a hoodie you should buy 2 of these sets as I did not have enough of each color. Leaving more white than I wanted. Overall the color has held up and I am pleased with the outcome.

> 3 dayI got warehouse deal and it came totally fine. We did this for the first time and loved it. Something we will do now with the kids yearly I think. Came with plenty of gloves and bands! Loved having lots of colors to choose from and the colors look amazing after going through the wash too! We are very happy with our turn out! I would get this kit again.
