Catcher of Pokemon (Like No One Ever Was)
15-04-2025Wow, this set made tie dye as simple and fun as possible - but also produced results that exceeded our expectations! We were all surprised and impressed by the designs that came out. This set comes with 18 squeeze bottles of colored dye powder. Each bottle is marked with a fill-to line, and you just have to add water and shake to turn the powder to dye. The bottles have a narrow nozzle that makes applying the dye easy to control. The colors are a really nice mix and are all super vibrant. Everything you need for the actual tie dye process is included - rubber bands to hold your shirts in place, and table cloths/covers to prevent the dye from getting onto surfaces. Theres a cool little instruction pamphlet with clear instructions on how to achieve different popular tie dye designs (simple swirl, etc.) that helped us get nice results.

> 3 dayI have bought this kit 3 times now, and I love it! Colors stay bright after multiple washes (in cold or eco-warm-just because thats what I usually run the washer on). I made burp/spit up rags and crib sheets with the first batch so they have spent quite a bit of time in the washer, not to mention that I have soaked them in Oxyclean and it doesnt ruin the colors. The first 2 pictures are all the items I did with one single kit this last time (dont mind the gag gift boxers LOL). The final picture is from when I first tried this kit 15 months ago and it has survived well through all the washings and the Oxyclean soaks. I do suggest cotton fabric but I noticed that some brands put a thin waxy coating on their fabrics to keep it clean for shipping, so I just wash them on warm with just a little detergent and dry them before binding them. I had no problems with the brands Haines or Fruit of the Loom and didnt prewash them, but had to massage it a bit as I dyed them for full saturation. Heres what I did: 1) I rubber band the fabrics I want to dye with the rubber bands included in the kit, but I also pick up an extra package or two of rubber bands just to make the designs more intricate. 2) I fill each bottle with half the needed amount of water, replace the caps and shake well to dissolve all powder because sometimes the powder can get stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Then I fill the bottles up the rest of the way and shake again. WEAR GLOVES even at this stage or you will have to scrub for days to get it off your skin- like I did, which made my job interview the next day a bit awkward. Hah. ALSO, leave the bottles standing or tilted upright once filled as they tend to leak laying down. 3) I lay out an old plastic shower curtain out in the yard in the shade, get comfortable with a drink and go to town- I use paper towels to wipe up spilled dye between switching colors so it doesnt transfer to other parts of my fabric. I work from lightest dye to darkest on each binded garmet. Also, if I noticed the dye was beading on the fabric and dripping off without absorbing, I just go slow and easy on the dye, and use a gloved finger to massage it in a bit so it will soak into the fabric then it would easily accept the dye when I add some more on. 4) I put all the projects in a tightly knotted plastic garbage bag and leave them in the shaded garage overnight. 5)The next day, I snip the rubber bands and use the garden hose to rinse out and wring out all of the garments. I suggest using running water from a hose or faucet instead of rinsing them in some sort of prefilled tub or basin to keep the white parts from soaking up leftover dye and being less vibrant. 6) I hang them out to dry fully for a few hours, then I machine wash them on delicate, cold water with an extra rinse and spin. After first initial washing, I just toss them in with the rest of the laundry (except whites of course) and I have had no issues yet. Hope this helps!

> 3 dayBought this kit mostly for the red and blue for 4th of July. The kit was easy to use and came with all the things you need including a plastic table cover, rubber bands and gloves. I removed a star because I was disappointed with how little the dye lasted, I understand that you’re supposed to use all the colors in the kit but we barely had enough red, blue, and turquoise to tie dye 3 kids shirts (2 XS and 1 S). There wasn’t any leftover to even tie dye an 18mo onesie. I had to order a separate kit to get more red and blue. The colors also did fade a bit after the first wash (we let the dye set wrapped in plastic for close to 24 hours). Other than that we had fun tie dying these shirts and will have fun with the rest of the colors too, just wish that there was more to each color bottle.

> 3 dayThe product box had been sliced in the back and taped together. When we first opened the package we thought it was still ok.....then when we were filling the bottles with water to start using them we realized two of the bottles had been sliced as well. Very unhappy, the actual kit works great this was the second time we have used this product. This purchase however was very dissapointing! I will purchase in store next time to make sure the bottles are in good shape.

Greater than one weekMy boyfriend loves his tie dyed Bombas socks but you can’t get them anymore. So, I ordered white ones and got this kit to do our own. I washed them first, then soaked them in soda ash solution for 20 minutes (bought a small package of it at Walmart) and then applied the colors. The little squirt bottles made it easy to apply the color. Sure, some leaked a little bit, but not bad. I put each pair of socks in a separate ziplock bag and let them set up for around 2 hrs. Then I rinsed heavily with cold water until water ran clear then took off rubber bands. Once rubber bands were removed I rinsed again until water was clear. Now time to wash them all. I love how the colors came out. I would definitely recommend this kit. It does say to let the color sit on the item for 6-7 hrs. Because I soaked in soda ash first I didn’t feel this was necessary. Also, be careful not to let items touch one another after you rinse and remove rubber bands. The colors can bleed until they’ve been washed a few times.

> 3 dayThese were great! They were used with about 25 children, grades ranging all the way from Pre-K to 5th grade (with some adult assistance for younger kids obviously). We gave them a limit of 2-3 colors per person, so it was just enough for our big group. The kids had so much fun for about 40 minutes. They were able to get creative with their patterns and colors. Some of them bunched up the t-shirt for the pattern, while some kids used a brush to design their t shirt. I printed out instructions for each kid of how to take care of the shirt before their first wear, and put it in a ziplock to take home. They came out great! So easy and so fun. T-shirts are often on sale at AC Moore (about $2 a shirt) so it was a very affordable project with an actually usable keepsake at the end of it!

> 3 dayThis was great! Best part about this was how much was included: lots of rubber bands, many pairs of gloves, good variety of colors and a drop cloth. The only thing it didn’t include was the fabric to dye. We had so much fun we reverse dyed 2 shirts, 1 sweatshirt, dyed 3 more shirts and 3 pillow cases and a face mask. Still have enough supplies to do several more. Very easy to use. Even more tie dye techniques online.

> 3 dayI had a white comforter on my bed for years. Over 30 to be exact. But as the years went by, it began to show wear and various stains made it look ratty and old. But, I saw the ad for these dyes and got an idea. I took the comforter outside and spread it out on my lawn on top of a sheet of plastic film. I stood atop a ladder over the comforter and drizzled and squirted the dyes over the comforter and created what appeared to be a Jackson Pollack piece of art. I hung it in the sun to dry, washed it in the machine( it really is bleed resistant) and now, I should receive many more years of enjoying my comforter. What ever your project, have fun!!
