Greater than one weekI bought two of these monitors for my home office, and mounted them to a dual monitor arm... I also bought the Assurion 4 Year warranty to go with them. These monitors have worked great for the last two years, however, one of them has a problem with the HDMI port now, and called Assurion to file a claim, and get the monitor replaced. Because I have them mounted on a dual monitor arm, I had no use for the monitor stand that comes with the monitors, and we got rid of those. This is where the problem with Assurion comes up... because I no longer have the monitor stand to send back with the monitor (that they are just going to destroy anyway), the REFUSE to honor the warranty, and will NOT process my claim. According to the rep I was speaking with, if I cannot return EVERYTHING that was included on the box, then they cannot (WILL NOT) honor the warranty, and will not proceed with the claim. ASSURION IS A SCAM! Buy the monitors, which outside of this lone issue, have been great, but do NOT buy the warranty!!!

> 3 dayUpgraded since my 19 viewsonic finally died after 15 years. Picture is amazing, clear and enjoyable for my gaming. 75 mhz refresh is sufficient for what i do, both office work and games.

Greater than one weekI have the previous model of this monitor, so when I needed a second one (which I use for work more than anything) I got this one. Picture is good, very adjustable. This one has buttons rather than touch controls, and Im having a tough time getting both monitors to look the same because the menus are different. Because this was new I was going to use it as my primary screen and use my old one as the secondary screen, but the sound was so tinny and awful (hence 4 stars) that this is my secondary monitor. So if you dont need/want to use this for sound it will probably be great.

> 3 dayThe basic key to this purchase is the price offered for the combined LED, 2 ms response time, resolution, and the size of the monitor. Having used it for a week now, I can say its visuals are a great upgrade to the older models and the 21 inch. At the 1920 x 1080 resolution, the graphics in World of Tanks or Lord of the Rings online are fantastic, and there is no noticeable blurring as camera/action swings around. (Im running a NiVida GE 1050 card and a 3.2 ghz clock, so the monitor is tasked with plenty of signal.) Setup was simple with the DVI cable. Came with a VGA cable and audio cable as well. Audio cable is needed if you want to utilize the sound, which is nothing special. Two small speakers with sound emanating from behind the monitor. More than adequate for notifications or simple game sounds. But no one buys a monitor for the sound anyway, they buy for the visuals, and this serves up a visual feast, rivaling monitors costing an extra $50 or more. Negatives are a somewhat thicker bezel (read boarder) and an antiquated volume, contrast, brightness control system. Its one of those buttons brings up a menu, another one moves the arrows, the first one selects, a third one sets....etc. What a pain. Especially, when the buttons are on the bottom, back side of the monitor, not easy to reach. I found if you set the monitor visuals once and use your computer audio/volume to set sound, you dont have to use these much. All told, Id buy this again.

Greater than one weekI set this monitor up next to my Viewsonic VX2235wm which is about 10 years old. My older monitor is the clear winner. LED is one of the tech worlds latest buzzwords but Im not buying it as an improvement in overall technology. Yes, LED monitors use about 25% less energy than older CCFL LCDs, but is saving that little bit of energy really worth it if your picture is worse than 10 year old technology?. By the way, the change from CCFL to LED is a very small change in energy conservation when you compare the change that took place when CRT monitors were replaced with LCD technology. That was a huge step in the right direction. The LED light in this monitor as well as most LED monitors is in the blue spectrum, the CCFL light in my old monitor is more in the yellow spectrum. If you look carefully at most LED based monitors, you will notice that there is a slight blue tint to the entire screen (but I suppose it depends on the monitor). Also, LED produces light in one direction, so its good for track lighting and spotlights, but not for illuminating your entire home. Since its directional, your viewing angle is worse than older CCFL lighted monitors. Like the VX2452MH, my laptop has an LED monitor in it and it has a blue tint as well and it only looks good when you are looking at it straight on. If you like the LED lights that now light up much of the highways (with the slight blue tint), youll be very happy with any LED blue spectrum based monitor. Personally, when Im working close to a computer monitor, I want dull, accurate, flat color with no glare. The blue spectrum light used in a lot of the LED technology just seems to make the blues so bright, its harder to tolerate than my older monitor. If you are going from a crappy monitor to the new LED technology, you wont know any better. If you are getting into the LED technology to watch TV, you probably wont complain about the technology as well. But compare LED technology to the old stuff and you will wonder why LED? Just to save 25% on your computer monitor bill? Not worth it in my opinion. I just purchased another used VX2235wm for $75.00 and will continue to use the old CCFL LCDs until something better comes along.

> 3 dayI got this to be viewed in portrait mode. Still weird to look at, as Im used to landscape mode. The image is perfect for what I need. I use this to look at pdf files and other documents so I can see more of it at once with reduced negative space.

> 3 dayI originally bought this to replace an Acer SB220Q as my primary monitor and was, at first, disappointed overall. The contrast was extremely high and tuning its settings through the OSD (whose buttons were extremely sharp and cut into my fingers) didnt help at all. Colors were slightly more saturated than I feel they should have been. Viewing angle was pretty narrow and corners were dark, and coupled with the high native contrast, it was difficult to view any dark images or games. Theres a noticeable screen-door effect on plain white images. The speakers were super gutless and required the desktop audio to be cranked up to max to be audible, at which point it would lose any clarity and had no bass to it whatsoever. Its response time setting was supposed to reduce motion blur, but the tradeoff was that it added significant ghosting and choppy motion. Most importantly, it had a vignette along the right edge of the monitor that was annoying enough for me to RMA it under warranty. I received an older manufacturing date model as a replacement and the quality of the two monitors is night and day for some reason. The contrast and colors now match my other displays, including the SB220Q. I was able to get an almost 100% image match with very slight tuning of the RGB. The monitors OSD buttons are more square and blunt and dont require as much force to press. The speakers are noticeably better. The response time setting now works with no noticeable trade-off like the ghosting before and makes high-speed games look great. Unfortunately, the screen door is still there and this one also has a dark edge along the right side of the screen albeit much less noticeable, but the improvement in the color was enough to warrant me keeping it. Its on-the-fly gaming mode isnt for me as it turns the image bland, flat, and washed out in favor of lower contrast thats supposed to make it easier to see in the dark for esports or tactical games or something. I recommend this for gaming, where youre likely to not focus enough on the image quality to notice its issues, but not for creative work or art as its color and light seems to be inconsistent between units.

> 3 dayMonitors picture looks great after you play with the settings, but the settings reset every time the monitor shuts off and I have to input them again. I dont know if its just a glitch or if thats the way its meant to be for some reason? The speakers are decent for a monitor, but dont expect great sound. Its pretty quiet, even at full volume, which is why I have mine plugged into a speaker system. Other than those little issues, Id recommend just for a budget set up or something cheap to game on if youre low on money. Worth it for the price.

> 3 dayI was so pleased with the first one, I bought a second. Both came up with no adjustments, drivers, or other manipulation needed. Kudos to Viewsonic.
