> 3 dayI normally swear by WD drives of any form factor, but dont purchase this drive for select Dell PCs, especially anything in the 7xxx line of machines, as the BIOS sees them, OS does not. Ive heard that if you format/partition the drive in another machine using Macrium Reflect, they will work. But, not having another machine with that capability, I cannot arrest to that. I violated my one rule if not looking at the Dell website for compatible drives. Ive since made a return request for a Crucial P3 500 gb NVMe drive, as the Dell website claims are compatible. We shall see in about 3 days. 3 stars since the compatibility issue. Otherwise, theyd get 5. Cant leave a 1, because its not their fault for the incompatibility.

> 3 dayAlthough the specs seem to match for both the WD SN770 2TB and Dell 7550 (PCIe 4 should work in PCIe 3 systems at PCIe 3 speeds), the laptop simply would *NOT* recognize the SSD, no matter what I tried in the BIOS. Tried different M.2 slots to no avail, and Dell support was unable to help. However, I replaced this with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB and the 7550 detected it and ran with no issues at all.

> 3 dayI dislike the fact that I ordered the 500gb size drive and received the 250gb size drive in the 500s box. Everything appeared normal until to my surprise while going through the setup process the drive is truly a 250 gb model that came out of a 500gb box. Not sure how that happens box didnt appear to be tampered with. Manufacturing issue I suppose.

> 3 dayThe first thing I did was format and speed test in a Startech PCIE adapter. Got 3044MB/sec speed on a 64GB test file with CrystalDiskMark64 which is very fast! I need the speed for recording lossless video with a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K. The small random writes are a lot slower as you would expect without built in RAM cache
