I refurbished a laptop for my dad for Christmas, I used this drive to replace the moving parts drive that was in the laptop before. It lightened the laptop, performed much faster, and the laptop now retains batter life much longer. So far it is working as expected. The WD tools that one can download free for the drives also helped make for a smooth transition with porting Windows 10 to the new drive.

Arrived as promised - condition and time.

I bought 2 of these to run in raid 1 for 2tb of total storage knowing that write speeds were slow, but can honestly say write speeds are not that bad, and read speeds are awesome.

This is a great buy for the money. I striped these together in a RAID array to double the speed. Note I am a backup fanatic with both file and image backups. I have had other SSDs fail, these are solid and reliable so far.

Made my computer load over 10X faster. Great deal.

I bought two of them. One disk failed almost immediately. The second one just failed, in a really bad way. Even SMART monitor tools cannot access its electronics. It lasted about 2 years. 1/3 of what Seagate SSHD disks of the same size have lasted. I have had Seagate SSHD disks serve me faithfully for 5.8-6 years, 24/7 as opposed to these junk WDC makes in Malaysia.

Not much to say, but very simple to install, and its a vast improvement over a mechanical HDD. If you want to speed up your laptop, then just go ahead and max out your RAM and get one of these. I have WD Blue in my other laptops, and I can see no discernable difference in performance between WD Green and WD Blue. I will only get Green in future. No need to waste money on Blue.

I installed it on a 2011 MBP and it works perfect. The laptop had a SSHD disk which was OK, but the boot time was getting slower with time, now it boots in seconds and the overall speed improvement is amazing.
