Good installation is very fast and good for primary storage solutions. If you want a gaming SSD. I recommend spending a little more to get the one with more storage.

Has worked without a flaw for almost a year now and has been the best investment I have made for my computer. Bought the 1 gig version and I no longer have to bother with USB sticks to store photos and music. No more range anxiety! Installed this in a Dell XPS 13 9360 (I think it is) using Macrium Reflect and Aomei Partition Magic to adjust partitions afterwards - both free. I needed a USB adapter cable to set up the drive initially (some kind of way) for the drive to be recognized by the laptop first. Im not a computer expert. Just Goog it.

I ordered this as I needed some storage that was fast and lightweight. This NVMe SSD drive was installed into an external USB-C NVMe housing. This is super small and lightweight, needs no additional power other than the USB-C port. Now this thing screams. I was able to move video files for editing from my desktop PC to this drive in seconds. A total of 13 files at over 35 GB was copied in less than a half of a minute. My desktop PC has internal WD NVMe drives too. I was floored at the speed. I then attached the drive to my laptop and loaded them into my editing software. I am so impressed with the speed. With 500GB capacity, I can now carry huge amounts of data with blazing write and read speeds. Installation in the external housing was a breeze, and took less then 3 minutes to complete. Western Digital has been on the forefront of data storage for as long as I have been working with computers. I trust the brand, and trust the data integrity on WD storage devices. NVMe has far surpassed the transfer speeds of SATA and is the current standard for high speed data transfer. This drive has my confidence and trust. It is a fantastic value for the price and it gets 5 stars for being a speed demon.

Affordable storage capacity

Was able to upgrade Mac air SSD from 256 GB to this 1 TB capacity. First, Made a bootable Mac OS Catalina in the bootable USB drive. Took back up in time machine. Replaced existing SSD to this new drive using adaptor. Installed Mac OS using bootable usb drive and installed all the existing data on new SSD with time machine.

Llevo un año con este estado sólido y pues la verdad ha hecho lo suyo pero me parece que es bastante inestable, yo recomiendo mejor que ahorren un poquito más y compren mejor un western black.

I have used several of these drives now for work and personal use and have not been let down. I currently use one in my HP Laptop with an 8th generation i3 and it boots into Windows in less than 20 seconds, similar story on my custom desktop. I do run a few games off of it and it has worked just fine for that, miles better than the old 5400rpm hard drive I was using before. 10/10 would and may purchase again.

First time used WD for a SSD. They are slower than their competitors, but does What it needs to do. Its in a core i7-8700K.
