A drive like this is really all you need for either gaming, productivity or just general use. It fast and responsive. There is not a need to buy faster drives unless you do video or graphics editing. Yes while other drives are technically faster for 99% of the world including gamers you will not see any difference between this and the black or an evo. Have both the 1tb and 2tb model

I bought this to store my games so they could boot up quicker. Overall, I am very satisfied with this m.2, but the only reason its not 5 stars is that the install was tedious and it wasnt plug and play. The screws were very tiny (which is to be expected for a smaller drive) and with my big hands it was quite difficult to install. Also, I had to try it on 3 different spots on my motherboard before it would even show up on my computer. I began to get frustrated, but thanks to amazons customer support, I just had to change the format of the drive in disk management on my computer and now it runs very smooth and fast. Probably just my own fault, but it works now and Im very content. Shout out Amazons customer service for the help!
