Was able to easily clone my drive over to this drive. My laptop boots up faster than before. Good for everyday use, but havent tried any gaming or heavy usage applications.

TL;DR: In order to use this SSD with a Ryzen 5 4500u CPU, youll need to update the firmware to the new version released around march, april 2021. Long Version: I tried to upgrade the stock 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD from my HP Envy x360 with the WD SN550 1TB NVMe drive, did a clean Windows 10 install, and after the first restart it crashed with the message WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. I created the installer with the media creation assistant, tried W10 1909 and 20H2, same error. Sometimes the error message said CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. Tried with a smaller drive, WD SN550 500GB NVMe, same issues. The stock drive works fine. A new firmware version 211210WD was released around march, april 2021 (WD doesnt release this information). Youll need to install the SSD on another PC with a different CPU (or get and NVMe to USB adapter), Download the Western Digital Dashboard, check the firmware version, itll probably say 211070WD and have an exclamation mark, and update it. Its been working flawlessly ever since.

Never installed an SSD drive before, but it wasnt too bad. 1TB of SSD make life easier with Win10

Snapped right into my gaming i7 10700 Clevo with NVIDIA 3080 and works perfectly. Priced better than Samsung and works every bit as well gaming in Zombie Army 4 adding 2 TB of excellent long term memory.

Este disco es una pequeña bestia dentro de su rango de gama media .Tengo Windows 10 instalado en el sin ningun problema .Los juegos se ejecutan de forma rapida y sin demasida espera . Lo recomiendo si deseas que tu ordenador vaya mas fluido y si no deseas gastar mucho dinero. Te recomiendo que compres un disipador termico si tu placa base no lo trae de fabrica.

Whoa man, this thing is super fast! Making a NVMe drive as your boot drive will change your life. This works beautifully with no issues. Just please be aware of the the key type your motherboard accepts and if you have a screw to hold it down as it does not come with one. Will definitely order for future builds! The quality with the value is fantastic!

Low price! If it is not the pursuit of ultimate performance, this will be the best choice!

Popped it into an HP ProDesk and installed Win 11, and Win 10 without issue. I do not game, but it kept up just fine with 2K video on an interactive Cycling app.
