> 24 hourOut of the box it’s super easy to setup. I recommend identifying what you’ll use for passwords in advance. I liked that the web GUI shows a full list of recommended security settings (e.g., turn off UPnP, etc.). You feel secure immediately. I like that you don’t have to pay for the security like with Orbi.

> 24 hourUse el equipo para extender la red por varias habitaciones, compre 6 equipos. Los he manejado solo como AP ya que tengo un Router que administra la red y han sido excelentes. Evitan el cableado y siempre mantienen una buena señal. Los recomiendo ampliamente. Son fáciles de administrar y configurar.

> 24 hourThis one, ET8, was recommended by PC Magazine, CNET and others. Before using this one, I tried the Links one and Orbi. They worked good as well but errored on installing. I had to call tech support to get working. This Assus ET8 model installed itself beautifully. Works well and its fast. My only complaint is I wish it came in a 3 pack instead of a 2 pack. No big deal, you just have to find someone selling a single instead of a double pack. My house is 5400 ft and the 2 cover it almost perfectly. Perfection would be achieved with a 3rd one. For awhile I was fighting the internet disconnecting on me a lot and thought it was my router when in fact it was discovered to be my Suddenlink fiber service. The TAP team is being sent out to find the intermittent break in the fiber connection. It turns out my whole neighborhood has this problem. Its a new installed service, so I will give them time to figure our where the break in connection is coming from.

> 24 hourPaired this with the Arris SB8200 to upgrade my home network. Chose this particular unit because it only broadcasts two bands (wired back haul) and the aesthetic goes with our home. My home is wired, so a wired back haul was ideal over other units that broadcast 3 bands with 1 designated for backhaul.

> 24 hourThere were some reviews indicating issues, which worried me a bit, but I experienced none. Im glad I got an Asus router (lots of options to fiddle with and I can use my old repeater as an AiMesh node). I had it all set up within minutes. After I verified speed and coverage I turned the WiFi radios off on my AT&T BGW-XXX modem/router combo and set this units SSID and password to my old one and all (several dozen) devices around my house connected to this with no issue. Im getting speeds above 500 Mbps in most rooms of my house with pings between 18 and 35 ms. This is a speed increase of 10x in some areas of my house.

> 24 hourCompré recientemente este producto (Asus Zenwifi ET8) ya que en algunas reseñas lo califican con 5 estrellas. Es cierto que también hay reseñas con bajas calificaciones, pero en el papel me pareció que las características del producto son muy buenas, y también creo que Asus tiene muchos años fabricando routers, así que pensé que debía ser un excelente producto.

> 24 hourThe best router that I have bought in a while! Expensive, but worth it if you want high download speeds across all your devices. Comes with wifi 6E standard, so future proof!

> 24 hourI purchased a white Asus ZenWifi mesh system (2) units to replace what was a wifi router and an extender from a competitor which had lackluster results. Nevermind the fact they had stellar reviews and at the top of the list where Asus didnt even appear.

> 24 hourThe product ships as two ET8 appliances with one acting as your Router/Firewall with an Ethernet 2.5G link to a ISP compliant Modem ( for example, Motorola 8611 or Arris S33 both of which are DOCSIS 3.1 compliant and have a 2.5Gb Ethernet interface ), and 4 1Gb Ethernet LAN ports. You can choose to link the two appliances via a dedicated Ethernet cable link as a backbone, OR choose to link them via Wi-Fi as the backbone (for example: set the 6Ghz portion of the Wi-Fi as the backbone between the nodes) using the built-in AiMesh. If you already own another AiMesh compatible device (ex: RT-AC68U or greater ) you can also integrate this device as an additional AiMesh node to expand your wireless mesh further while extending the service life of the older device. The underlying ASUSWRT based software running on these devices includes features ranging from remote VPN client access, device groups and content filtering for family / kids devices, TrendMicro based AntiVirus / IPS for the life of your devices (no subscription required). Additional features such as enabling Guest Wi-Fi access SSIDs, port forwarding, DHCP address reservations, connecting external Hard Drives for Network based storage & file-sharing exist as well.
