This is not a movie with good acting or production value. Its fun because its funny, even though its not supposed to be. All the gadgets are labeled and theres even a big fight scene where words like BLAM! are superimposed on the screen. Its also fun because its a little snapshot of the 60s. Its also fun because Batman and Robin are so gay.

This is the first live action Batman movie, and its really goofy. The special effects are really dated now, the shark at the beginning was very fake looking, and everything Batman owns has to have Bat attached to it. The villains are cool. The Joker is still my favorite Batman villain, and Caesar Romero is a great Joker. Not as good as Heath Ledger or Jack Nicholson, but still good. The Penguin was cool. The Riddler was good. Catwoman was good. The plot of the movie is over the top and very weird. Not much I can say about this one. If you are a fan of Batman, youll want to see this to see how Batman became a comedic hero. Still a good, enjoyable movie.

This is a classic movie with the actors and characters from the Batman series. I highly recommend it.

The film adaptation of the popular ABC TV series from 1966-68 has it all, action, adventure, romance, danger and comedy. Adam West and Burt Ward were excellent in the roles of Batman and Robin. Lee Meriwether(who replaces Julie Newmar due to a prior commitment)was at her sexiest as the Catwoman, and Frank Gorshin, Burgess Meridith and Cesar Romero were hilariously enjoyable as the villains. The special features contains a featurette with Adam and Burt talking about the behind the scenes stories, also there is a tour of the Batmobile with its creator, George Barris. This movie is a treat for kids as well as adults, it may not be the TV series we hope for, but it is close enough!

The story doesnt hold up as it once did and the camp is over the top for 2015. The stars are for the great quality print in HD. I bought this to see if I should buy the expensive TV series on blu ray. Now, I will pass. Im sorry, Adam West is the worlds biggest over actor! I will watch the series if it comes on TV, mostly to see the best Batmobile and killer theme song. This movie has all the best villains and for casual fans like me, is all you need. I have to laugh at 50 year old men who regard this as cult fans. I know a few! They know all the villains and every cameo that pokes out the window on Batman & Robins wall scaling! To sum up the review, If you want the best episode, here it is! Just enough camp and enough of Adam West to handle! They did a great job restoring it for HD!

I remember my father taking me to see this in the theater when it first came out. Several decades worth of growing up has taken a measure of the gilding off the movie, but its still super-campy and if thats what youre looking for, then its good. Not the best use of my time but it fit the bill for an evening I wanted to be entertained without thinking. (Besides, theres Lee Meriwether in her Catwoman costume... somehow I didnt notice her quite as much the first time I saw the movie!) It kinda all just peters out at the end, but there are still some laughs.
