> 3 dayI owned at least 8 projectors in my life time and this is the best projector I ever owned. The 4k on this is extremely sharp the colors are vibrant and the image brightness at 2000 lms is bright enough for my semi darken room. It throws a powerful image I found that the cinema mode is the best. This projector is not noisy at all very quiet. The only issue I have is that it throws a lot of heat wont notice if mounted on the ceiling I have mine next to me on a table. Other than that I love this projector.

Greater than one weekI don’t know exactly how I feel about this projector because HDR was one of the main reasons why I bought this projector but it doesn’t seem to work properly. The projector is good and the picture looks decent but once you apply the HDR feature it’ll disappoint you!!! The colors show either very bad or your image will show in green and black. I use HDR 10 supported products with a 2.0b HDMI and it still shows up horrible with HDR on. 4K looks awesome especially at 100” though I will say that! Other then the HDR not working properly, this projector is very good. One thing I would say before I wrap up my thoughts, this thing will heat up your entire room! The fans blow out really hot air so during the summertime make sure you have your AC running when you decide to watch something on this.

> 3 dayI’m giving this a 1/5 until BenQ fixes the firmware issue that causes the projector to drop the source intermittently and at random. This is a known widespread issue.

> 3 dayOn paper, this is a great projector. Reviewed, it is a great projector. As others have stated, it hits all of the right notes. Im not sure I can say anything more than what has already been said. I really wanted to like this projector. The fan noise was a deal breaker for me. It is way too loud and distracts from the quiet scenes. Turn it to Eco and now a already struggling to be bright enough projector just becomes too dim.

> 3 dayThe picture quality is outstanding, not just for the money but for any projector. In a dedicated room with a proper screen and light control it will rival anything you could see at your local digital theater. The colors are unbelievably vivid and the image is very sharp. There are several preconfigured modes, two of which are calibrated at the factory to meet 100% of Rec 709 and 96% of DCI P3. The only issue I had was that the HDR mode wasn’t calibrated at all and all the faces looked like something out Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Inspecting the color manager I found all the settings set to 200. I matched the color manager settings to the calibrated D. Cinema mode and it now has a more color accurate HDR image than my calibrated P Series Vizio LED TV. The bright HDR highlights of the projector can’t match the TV but in a light controlled theater room it looks amazing. Interstellar on UHD BD looks like looking through a window. The Dynamic Iris really brings out the details in dark HDR programs like Ozark in a way that I would say is almost equal to the local dimming of my LED TV. Now your experience will very greatly on your own setup. I have a dedicated room with .5 gain grey walls and ceiling and a 100” 1.0 gain grey screen. I sit about 9’ from the screen. I run it in Eco in all modes except HDR where it needs Normal to give full effect, and Smart Eco in Vivid which is bright enough for sports with the room lights at 20% This was a direct replacement for the HT2050 and it fit my setup without modification.

> 3 dayWe purchased this for our boys for their Man Cave . As they would put it... this is LIT... We ran out of wall space, so Im sure it could project larger.... the 150 projection is magnificent. No need to turn the lights out to see...

> 3 dayAfter a 45 min installation replacing my previous Epson, I struggled to get the picture formatted correctly only to eventually find out on Reddit that even though I have 16 my screen was too small for this projector as it does not have a digital shrink feature. Check your distance and screen size before ordering. I thought I did my homework as I looked at every projector I could find on the $1500-$2k range. That being said, once I moved it closer and remounted on the ceiling it works really well. The picture is so much better than my old one and switching between Bright during the day and Cinema mode at night gives me a great experience and a great picture anytime. While this is not true 4k most people will not know the difference and unless youre side by side, most likely cant tell.

> 3 dayPros Good picture quality and contrast. Good value at this price point. Cons Only for dark room experience even small bulbs can cause corners to brush and colours go fade. Quite bulky hence need professional service to do the mounting. Speakers are functional dint particularly like it. Would recommend only for those who wants to make serious home theatre setup in a dedicated dark room.
