Got this for my wife as a present. She was overjoyed. If she hadnt been I would have given it just one star. She used it a handful of times over a period of a couple of years. She liked what she used it for which was mostly moping tile, that is, until it stopped working and it became my problem. Exactly what you can expect of most consumer electronics these days. A quick look indicated that it was not getting water. A slightly deeper look showed that it was not an immediately resolvable issue. Of course, out of warranty; time to break out the screwdriver. Not easy to open but once I got it open (not for the lighthearted) and ran some tests they all pointed to the water pump. Took it apart and tinkered with it. After reassembly it was working. It worked for a few minutes before the pump bound up again. It is now in the gathering-dust-in-the-corner phase of its lifecycle. My recommendation: if you know you are going to be using this frequently you might get your moneys worth. Otherwise, at least in my experience, it would be more cost effective to just buy a mop.

The Bissell Powerfresh Slim Steam Mop does a very good job of cleaning floors. My only complaint is that having to hold down the trigger on the handle to activate the steam is very tiring and difficult to hold for a long period of time, especially if you have arthritis in your hands, as I do. It would be perfect if there were a way the trigger could be made to stay down, and then released when you are finished, instead of having to hold it down with your finger while you are mopping.

Its not a bad steam cleaner, but it has a few flaws that should have been addressed before it ever went to market. Pros: * It steams * The length extension is helpful * Comes with plenty of additional nozzles. In general it does what it says, it creates steam. Cons: * The trigger. You have to really press that sucker in to keep the steam going, you let off even a tiny bit and it cuts off. This should have been a rocker switch or it needed way more deadzone. If you have arthritis, this is going to be a problem. * The handle is heavy. This makes sense, its where everything is. This is only a problem because of the trigger tho. Youre squeezing that sucker so hard and holding that thing up, it tires out your hand. * Nothing to wrap the cord around. They give you a little velcro to hold it, but its annoying after the first few times you use it. Would have been nice to have some hooks on the pole at least to wrap it.

It does not steam clean floors very well as a mop. The steam never reaches the floor. Get something else if you want to actually clean the floors.

Works great. Used it to clean the vent cover on an over the range hood. It was hard work and took 2 hours to clean over 15 years of oil. Only thing is the little cup used to fill the steamer is cracked on the bottom. Needless to say I just use a measuring cup, it works but its a pain. Over all worked for what I needed it to. Sorry I wish I took pics of the before and after.

This steam mop is very versatile I’ve been able to clean the sliders on my windows more thoroughly than I think they’ve ever been cleaned. I use it to clean my walls, it’s able to fit in the little area behind the toilet, I’m able to clean the tops of my ceiling fans without a step stool now, my baseboard, and even the back splash in my kitchen. I used to have a shark steam mop which you have to push in the handle to activate the steam so it was only useful for floor cleaning. This one is a button so I can maneuver it in any direction a please. It also works for steaming fabric on the low setting… it’s a little more pricey than some other steam mops but it’s worth it in my opinion for sure.

    Greater than one week

I had used a Clorox Clean-up and a Swiffer mop over the years. This is a huge upgrade! It uses just distilled water, as opposed to harsh (and expensive) cleaning solutions. It heats up quickly so its ready to use almost immediately after plugging it in, and the floors dry quickly after steam-mopping. As others have said, you do have to hold down the steam button during operation, but this isnt generally a big deal, unless you using it for an extended period of time. I love most of the attachments, and the two mop covers. The only attachment Im not pleased with is the grout cleaner. It does a wonderful job, but the bristles bend and collapse into something almost unusable after the first use. Id appreciate an easy way to order replacements for just that tool - not the whole set - as its almost a disposable tool if you can only use it once. I have a LOT of tile in my house, and Id probably buy replacements frequently.

My only complaint is that you have to hold the trigger in the entire time you are using it. If you have a weakness or arthritis in your hands or fingers, I would not recommend this item.
