> 3 daySo far so good. I loved how light it is. Hard to push the heavyweight ones at 75. This carpet is old and full of stains from cattle dogs, sick dogs and a dusty dirt road. Im going to have to get the large bottle of the shampoo so I can do another run on the living room and next the bedrooms. Im pretty thrilled so far!

> 3 dayI used this Bissell in my area rug in den. I have 3 dogs and 10 grandkids.I live in GA. Red mud and clay. Works like a champ Pulls all the grind in dirt up. Mud, spills and doggie accidents I have bought two of these. First one my daughters borrowed and never brought back.lol So got another one clean constantly with it . Excellent size and price. Not to heavy to push either. The container started leaking alittle but I use alot. Would be nice to have an opening on top to just pour it in also. Good buy holds up well.

Greater than one weekI received this thing on February 14, 2023 to replace a competitors machine that broke after only a few uses (I know. I should have read the reviews, but it was a very popular, trusted brand, so I trusted them. Silly me!) Well, this one did the same thing. It worked perfectly when it worked, but this morning I went to use it and it died. It smelled like rubber burning and then made a wretched noise so I turned it off. I called Bissell since it was past the return to Amazon date and they were awesome! They said theyd send me a new one to replace it and I didnt have to beg, threaten or plead with them to make things right. I asked if I could pay for an upgrade instead of getting the same one, but they said Id have to talk to Amazon about that, so Ill do that and, hopefully, I can pay the difference and get a sturdier model. Either way, Im very impressed with their customer service and, if the new shampooer works, Ill be even happier!!

> 3 dayThis carpet cleaner is meant for small areas - would be great to whip out for spills, pet accidents, etc. I bought it because we only have two area rugs that need regular cleaning and so I figured this would work well for that, we didnt need a larger, high-powered unit, and I wanted it to be smaller to easily store in a closet. I also wanted to clean the rugs in place because they are partly under heavy furniture on hardwood floors. This unit does work fine - have to put something under the rugs to protect the floors because the rug will get wet enough to soak through a bit and it cleaned the rugs great and sucked out a lot of dirt. The downside was that I had hopes that I could do a whole rug before needing to refill the cleaning tank and empty the dirty tank but it was not so. I was refilling/emptying frequently, basically every 4-5 passes/rows. Overall happy with it and will keep using it for our two rugs since were only cleaning them periodically.

> 3 dayI was genuinely shocked to see this simple carpet cleaner work so well in these times where everything is convoluted and turned upside down due to corporate greed. Regardless it is easily worth the money.

> 3 dayI received this last week. I have cleaned 3 carpets so far. I have a handheld spot cleaner and a very large sanitaire machine that holds 6 gallons of water. This machine is so easy to use. In a weird sort of way, its almost fun to use. Its great for traffic areas that take a beating. Other reviewers mentioned the small tank size. For me, it wasnt a problem. At least the water stays hot while I am cleaning the carpet. If the suction stops working, it means the float has popped up and the machine will not suck up any more water. You need to empty the tank. You can hear the change in the sound of the machine when that happens. Also, make sure the top gray cap is pushed in all the way. Some people said they need two hands to push the machine because the handle doesnt move back. There is a lever to step on so you can pivot the handle back just like an upright vacuum. For the people that have leaks, make sure the ring around the float is not cross-threaded or loose and the cap on the clean water tank is screwed on properly and snug. Of course make sure you have connected both tanks to the machine properly. I snap down both handles on the dirty water tank at the same time when I put it back on the machine. Some tips: * Make sure you thoroughly vacuum first. Really. * Use very hot water from your tap. Dont boil water and use it. There is a max of 140 degrees listed on the clean water tank. * Use the smallest bit of carpet soap. Dont use laundry or dish soap. Add white vinegar to the clean water tank too. * If you have really dirty areas, you can use the machine without the dirty water tank in place. That way you can get a fair amount of cleaning solution into the carpet. Then attach the dirty water tank and suck it up. Dont get the carpet too wet. * After you are done, put only hot water (no soap) in the clean water tank and go over the carpet again. Leftover carpet soap residue attracts dirt. * To extract as much water as you can from the carpet, lean over the machine, loop your hand under the handle on the dirty water tank and push the machine while pressing it into the carpet. * Set up a box fan on high until you are sure the rug is dry. Dig your fingers into the carpet fibers to check. * After you are done cleaning, open the side gray cap and dump the dirty water. Unscrew the ring from the float assembly and clean the float too. Put the float and ring back together. Leave the side gray cap open. * I put the cap from the clean tank inside the cleaned out dirty water tank. Unscrew the ring on the float assembly so you can put the cap inside. I put a paper towel under the clean water tank and slid it back on the grooves so it can air dry. * Take the machine to your sink without the tanks. I was amazed how much cat hair and grit there was stuck underneath. Give the underneath a good spray and check the red rubber bar next to the rotating brush. * I put it up on two wood blocks so the bottom can dry. * Pet stains are a two part cleaning project. Theres the stain and theres the odor. For the odor, you need a pet enzyme cleaner. Follow the directions on the bottle. Your pet may go back in the same place again if you dont remove the odor. Their noses are lower to the carpet and better at detecting odors than ours so get down after the carpet is dry and give it a good sniff. *** Buy this machine. Your carpets are dirtier than you think***

> 3 dayI have used this type of machine for many years. This one is very easy to fill and empty. First impression suggests it will do a great job for a reasonable to a long service life. The power switch is a bit awkward to turn on and off but worth any inconvenience to help the animals! Used it a bit longer and found everything works a bit better after a couple of tanks. Switch even works a little smoother.

> 3 dayThis machine cleans! My old Hoover carpet cleaner died. Until I used this one I didnt realize how poorly the Hoover was cleaning. I think the carpets are cleaner than any time when I used the Hoover. I wish I had before and after photos. The cons are not really cons considering the price. Plus: lightweight, easy to maneuver, really cleans. The solution tank is marked for water level and solution level. Cons: small water tank, wastewater tank hold down clamps require some muscle, the plug on the wastewater is probably weakest link and you must hear click to know it is seated, and no extra tools. Remember this the baby brother of their lineup. Be prepared for lots of debris as this guy pulls up as it crosses the carpet. I keep the dust buster handy. This is best for small rooms. My 20 x 20 foot room required three tanks of solution. Their directions suggest you apply solution up and back. I also rinse with one run of plain water. For whatever reason they do not want you to use boiling water.

Greater than one weekI’m happy with this machine. It’s not heavy and it’s easy to use. It only took a minute to put it together. My only complaint is the reservoir is not larger enough for large jobs. Or, maybe I’m using too much water. It cleans well regardless

> 3 dayFeels quality for the price and it worked extremely well. People have said it’s a pain to refill the small water jug but in my 700 sq ft apartment I believe I refilled it about 4 times- which isn’t bad. Also the dirty water jug holds multiple bottles of liquid so you don’t have to dump that one each time. Time will tell if it lasts - but I’m feeling good about it. I just make sure to clean it after every use.
