Fit just as expected into my surveyor 2018 water heater. I will update if it erodes faster than expected

Difficult to screw in! It wasnt just me, my plumber couldnt insert it all the way either. Maybe the diameter of the screw part is just a little too big? (My 5th wheel is a 2012.) Good enough, though, its not leaking.

A must for your RV water heater that requires and Anode Rod. You should remove it at least once a year to be sure there is enough surface on the Anode Rod. Will save replacing the the whole water heater if you fail to do this. A little difficult to remove and reinstall, but again worth the time and effort.

Magnesium protection for aluminum water heater. Mine last about 9 months full time. I know its time to replace when temperature recovery slows. 7/8 socket, 6 inch extension and a 24 inch breaker bar make easy replacement. Be sure to power flush the magnesium hydroxide/carbonate gel from the heater. There will be a lot of it in the heater, this takes space, reducing the capacity. It breaks down easier than calcium deposits which it prevents. Another ounce of prevention item. Worth every penny.

Used this to replace my Suburban SW6P ,Manual, 6 gallon, hot water heater Anode Rod. This Camco 11563 was a direct replacement on my SpringDale Mini 1750RD Camper, 3/4 Thread , 9 1/2 long with a 5/8 Diameter using a 1 1/16 Socket If it had the quick drain valve like the Camco 11533 + it was 9 1/2 long to ensure the whole tank is protected it would have been perfect

Ordered the Camco 11563 Anode to replace the original in out 5th wheel. Owners manual said to check/replace every 12 months. I let mine go just over 12 months thinking we had not camped that many times. I was so suprised when I removed the original and found it almost gone. Wont make that mistake again as now I will check/replace every six months. Oh yes, this was a perfect fit.

Didnt thread in hole very far! Maybe two or three threads in! Should be farther for a pipe thread! Worked but would of rather seen more thread engagement!

Bought this thinking I needed to replace my anode rod because its routine water heater maintenance I see happening all the time but have never done it myself. Bought this rod, it fits my Atwood water heater great! Then I found out that Atwood tanks do not need anode rods, in fact they can be damaging to the tank! Camco is just trying to make a buck. Supposedly it is magnesium so I will take it back out and use it as a firestarter. If it works, its a good deal. So, two stars.
