> 3 dayI used this for less then 2 months, and already starting to erode the rod...this is good as its basic function is just that. Since campgrounds probably most use well water its good to protect your water heater from hard minerals by using this rod to attract those harsh minerals that could be eating your holding tank! Fits in my Starcraft AR-ONE 17RD just fine.

> 3 dayIf you have a Atwood 6 gallon RV water heater this is a must it will save your tank. This one was in mine for two years.Looks like you probably need to change it every year

> 3 dayIm giving it 4 stars because there is nothing wrong with the rod but it did not fit my Suburban 8 gallon tank. The threads were too long, 3/4 of an inch. Id previously bought a Camco rod that fit my tank, the threads were 1/2 inch long so must have been a different part number. So just make sure you have the right rod. See the picture of the old rod and the 11563 rod.

> 3 dayI have an Atwood 6 gal LP hot water heater. The tank is aluminum and originally Atwood only installed a drain tap rather than an anode. As an industrial maintenance tech I thought installing an anode would be an good measure to increase the life of the hot water heater tank. The anode is doing the job well. The sacrificial metal is doing what is should do. As I drained the hot water tank for winterization Nov 2018, I got a first hand look at the condition of the rod that was installed Feb, 2018. Its doing what it is designed to do, sacrifice itself to protect the tank.

> 3 dayGreat fit for the RV Atwood heater. Only thing I did not like is the instructions state to only use a small amount of torque to tighten on, so I used my torque wrench and at the recommended level (with Teflon tape) I had a drip. I had to really snug it down to stop the drip. Other than that, works just fine.

> 3 dayThis product worked great straight out of the package. I previously purchased an anode rod made by suburban for my suburban water heater and I could not get it to thread correctly this one from Camco worked great straight out of the box threaded perfectly.

> 3 dayAlways used these on my travel trailer and never had a problem with them. I do need to change them every two years because of the water that I have in the area I am in. I found the best price for these here at Amazon and I always keep one on hand.
