Installed on a 2005 Subaru Outback Limited Wagon. This is probably the 5th or 6th trailer harness I have installed in the past 5 years, and was easily the simplest. It truly is plug and play. Remove the rear mat, uncover and remove the spare tire, and then remove the carpet on left side of the trunk area. Plug connector is located in the back left corner of the car, tucked up behind the panel that houses the rear auxiliary power outlet. Youll probably see it, or a wire, hanging down. Give it a tug and attach the Curt harness. Remove the rubber plug in the bottom of the spare tire area, run the harness through the hole, reinstall the plug, reinstall everything else, tie the harness up under the rear bumper cover, and youre good to go. Less than 15 minutes for me, from start to finish. Well worth the few extra bucks to avoid splicing wires.

Looked long and hard for that connector in my Tribeca, need to remove a couple pieces of plastic where the door shuts. I ended up just removing the rear trim where the tailgate closes as well as the back area where there is storage. its tucked against the wall closest to the tailgate. Then your golden... Worked perfect and i can now tow!

The reviewer that said it worked for his 2007 WRX led me to believe it would work with my 2007 Impreza base model. I found the connector in the passenger side tied to some other wires. This is similar to another version that said it was compatible but more expensive with lower reviews.

Plugged right in to my 2007 Forester. Works just fine. The test LEDs are a nice touch.

The instructions said where on my 2002 Forester to find the mating plug--I had no idea a plug was even down there, but it mated right up and works the trailer lights just fine. Excellent product.

This was easy to install after watching a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXNFCXOsgFo&feature=player_embedded) describing how to find the connector in my 2005 Subaru Forester; the directions that came with the connector were a little vague. Seems to work. My other complaint is that they completely neglected to label the junction box. No manufacturer info, no details about which wire goes where... Just a plain black box. Someone must have forgotten to stick the stickers on. Hopefully the connections inside the box are better than the (non)labeling on the outside.

The Curt 55370 four-flat T-connector exactly replaced the one I had previously, and was simple to install. I put all but the length of wire to the trailer connector inside the tail light compartment of a 2005 Subaru Forester. The box with the connecting wires of the original harness was in the spare tire well; when a spare tire was thrown in the well after I had the tires rotated, it was bent causing a disconnection of the brake and tail light wires . Price was good, delivered quickly, easy to install, worked perfectly.

Perfect fit on my 2004 Subaru Outback. Its been a while, but if Im not mistaken I believe mine did have the connector on the passenger side they way other reviewers have mentioned.
