This plus is great for the price. Love how easy the setup is also user friendly.

Love these. Super easy to set up, especially if you already have the Smart Life app on your phone. Ours works great with Smart Life and Google Assistant/Google Home. I really appreciate that these are designed not to block adjacent outlets too.

My electric bill is going up, and up. Most likely thanks to Covid and stay at home. But I needed to take charge of the situation and identify if anything can be done to bring it under control. Step one was to identify the big power hogs. Then I’ll move to the clusters – power strips with lots of items hooked up to. This smart plug is designed very well. It does not cover any part of the adjacent plug on the wall, going sideways instead of a cheaper solution – Round. Adding to SmartLife app was a breeze. Usually I do it in an outlet convenient to me, and after I add it, I unplug and then unplug the select appliance (a Fridge to begin with), plug the smart plug then plug the appliance in. BTW, once you add the plug to SmartLife, Alexa will automatically add it as well. No need for any extra work. In SmartLife one goes to “ELECTRICAL” (bottom of the plug screen) and he’ll see the total power consumption for the period. In my case it crosses 2 KWh per day. This should help me assess if I can justify replacing my 18 years old fridge. Hopefully this review helps people trying to understand and solve their high electric bills.

This works fine as a generic smart plug with the associated app. However, the process that you are guided through to link it with Alexa DOES NOT WORK. When I hit the link button it opens a page that says the app is out of date and I have to update before linking. There is no update to the Gosund app nor the Alexa app. I bought this explicitly to work with Alexa. So, its kinda worthless. I guess it was only $10. Unfortunately, I feel like I now have to use that overused phrase that I hate reading in reviews and makes me think it was written by someone much older than myself. You get what you pay for.

Got this product to control the timing of my turtle and bearded dragons lights in the kitchen. My cats kept turning off the dang power strip and resetting my digital timer. It was becomming annoying. Initial set up was more complicated then it needed to be. The instructions didnt match the wording in the app. So, I had to figure it out. For future reference to someone who wants to get it; the category is Electrical Engineering and the product is Socket. Other then the instructions not quite adding up, its been fine for the price. I may consider purchasing a few more.

I was looking for a plug that can be controlled automatically because I figured that I can make my home appear occupied and this 2 pack seemed like a no brainer. The price was so cheap so I was not expecting too much but I was pretty surprised when I gave it a try. This device was simple to set up and they add a USB port to every plug where this is placed. I do not really use the Alexa feature but I do use the remote control option through the app which helps me add more custom options such as schedules to the devices that are connected. I plugged in my Christmas tree to one of these and set a schedule that automatically turned it off during the morning and on during the day. Right now I just have a couple of lamps connected to them with a random schedule that makes it seem like there is always someone at my home. There really are no cons with this product, it does not block the other ports and, like I mentioned before, it adds a USB plug. Overall great product that does not really make any compromises. There really is no feature that I felt was left out of this device. The price is affordable and I think believe I get an awesome deal. I hope this review helps you make an educated decision with your purchase.

I have too many smart plugs installed around my home (according to my wife :). BUT these have a very useful extra - they monitor how much electricity has flowed through them! For those power-hungry electric heaters, its a great feature to have (and yes, they have the needed ampacity to run an electric heater). With the smart home integration, you can make sure that heater gets TURNED OFF before the electric bill hits the roof. From my tests, it works great (in Smart Home - Google & Alexa operate the device, but dont report power usage... too bad). I have not independently checked how accurate they are - I have the tools to do so, and I may update this review if they turn out to be inaccurate. Price for the 4-pack seems fair!

Works like a champ. No complaints at all. The app is simple to connect and if the power goes out or its unplugged it still remembers everything just fine

Never got it to work with Alexa. Shows up in Alexa devices. Works by remote control on my phone. Really wanted it to work with Alexa. But, the remote control and timer works. And I wanted it for xmas tree lights. So thats good enough, and its cheap so bought another for a 2nd tree. But it does not work with Alexa and there is no technical support.

The power strip works fine and pairs with Alexa. Whats annoying is the buzzing noise when plugin and something are loose inside thats rattling. Update: I received my replacement today and the power strip works perfectly with no issues
