Greater than one weekIm not usually technologically challenged and I followed the directions and I tried over and over and over again could not get this device to see my Wi-Fi or pair via Bluetooth so it was essentially an outlet extension with no other function. Return was easy though.

> 3 daySetting these up with Smart Life took about a minute each. One of the four plugs I tested needed to be updated and had a strange name so it might have been old stock. All function very well and can be controlled from the smart life main page. Initial setup on these was super easy as they all came up in programming mode. I didnt have to use AP or other modes. I have a dedicated 2.4 Ghz ceiling mounted TP link AP that I use for home automation. I already had some Tuya devices linked to Alexa so asking her to discover new devices was a simple thing. I find its easier to create a name for the plug in the smart life app that Alexa will adopt rather than edit it in alexa. The cases on these plugs appear to be sonic welded. While theres an FCC mark I couldnt find an FCC certification to readily identify the TUYA wifi module.

> 3 dayworks great. As cheap as a timer and you can turn lights/radio on/off when you are away from home for security. I paired it with my echo dot, can vocally turn on the light when I come home at night.

> 3 dayI don’t normally leave bad reviews, I’m normally pretty lenient and accepting of flaws with items I purchase, I’m not technologically challenged nor do I give up without trying to troubleshoot why something isn’t working. I bought one singular outlet for a very simple task. I wanted to schedule a light to turn on for 12 hours a day. That’s it. Nothing fancy, no sunrise or sunset, no proximity if this then that settings. Just a simple schedule. I have repaired and reset the plug. I’ve tried (many many many times) to update it to no avail, it doesn’t struggle. It just doesn’t do ANYTHING. Half of the time to app doesn’t even recognize it as being on the network in spite of being within 15 feet of a router. The schedule function in the app? Half the time doesn’t even show my schedule I’ve repeatedly set up. Tried setting up a scene and using if 8am turn on and if 8pm turn off. None of it works. Not a single feature. What I’m left with is a bulky plug that I can toggle on and off when and only if I’m home. Which is absolutely useless. I already can do that. It’s called a light switch. I’m either going to return this and buy the tp-link variety that seems to be widely accepted as the gold standard, or I’ll simply throw this in the garbage because that’s where it belongs. Or I might just get a mechanical timer, like I have in the past. You know what doesn’t fail to do what I want? A mechanical timer. Silly me for thinking technology had come far enough to just work. If 0 stars were an option I’d give this 0 stars.

> 3 dayThese smart plugs are exactly what I was looking for. The set up is really quick and and the app is easy to use. I downloaded the Smart Life app onto my phone. The app walks you through the steps of setting up your plugs by connecting it to your wifi. You can also connect these to Alexa or Google home if you want. But your phone acts as the remote control. You can turn the power to the plug on and off with a simple touch of a button within the Smart Life app. Whats even better, is that you can set up specific timers for the plug. I have programmed the plug to turn my childs Christmas tree lights on and off at a specific time. This would also work great for turning on a night light or bedtime music/white noise in your childs room at a specific time and then turning it off too. I am also using one of these to control my plant lights. Now my plant lights turn on in the a.m. and off when I go to bed, without me doing anything except the initial set up! The possibilities of where you can use these are endless. These are so worth the money! Definitely recommend.
