I had no idea what I was buying but my son, who picked it out, loves it and wants another one too

This plug does NOT work with IFTTT. Thats what I needed it for, so I returned it.

Device work as advertise. It does work with Google Mini and Alexa. To add to google mini look under Smart Life devices. Only reason I give this a 4 star is because due to its bulky design you can only fit one of these in dual outlet sockets.

Awesome product! Integrates with the Smart Home app, IFTTT app and Alexa within moments. Ive only owned this product for a few weeks, however I have several of the same plugs under a different manufacturer label and they work very well and have held up over a few years. The current price 12/2020 of the 10A four pack is the best I have seen to date for the same product.

My electric bill is going up, and up. Most likely thanks to Covid and stay at home. But I needed to take charge of the situation and identify if anything can be done to bring it under control. Step one was to identify the big power hogs. Then I’ll move to the clusters – power strips with lots of items hooked up to. This smart plug is designed very well. It does not cover any part of the adjacent plug on the wall, going sideways instead of a cheaper solution – Round. Adding to SmartLife app was a breeze. Usually I do it in an outlet convenient to me, and after I add it, I unplug and then unplug the select appliance (a Fridge to begin with), plug the smart plug then plug the appliance in. BTW, once you add the plug to SmartLife, Alexa will automatically add it as well. No need for any extra work. In SmartLife one goes to “ELECTRICAL” (bottom of the plug screen) and he’ll see the total power consumption for the period. In my case it crosses 2 KWh per day. This should help me assess if I can justify replacing my 18 years old fridge. Hopefully this review helps people trying to understand and solve their high electric bills.

I’m updating my review. Previously, I thought these were great but it hasn’t even been a year and they don’t connect and time out all the time on the app. Do not recommend.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, I’m normally pretty lenient and accepting of flaws with items I purchase, I’m not technologically challenged nor do I give up without trying to troubleshoot why something isn’t working. I bought one singular outlet for a very simple task. I wanted to schedule a light to turn on for 12 hours a day. That’s it. Nothing fancy, no sunrise or sunset, no proximity if this then that settings. Just a simple schedule. I have repaired and reset the plug. I’ve tried (many many many times) to update it to no avail, it doesn’t struggle. It just doesn’t do ANYTHING. Half of the time to app doesn’t even recognize it as being on the network in spite of being within 15 feet of a router. The schedule function in the app? Half the time doesn’t even show my schedule I’ve repeatedly set up. Tried setting up a scene and using if 8am turn on and if 8pm turn off. None of it works. Not a single feature. What I’m left with is a bulky plug that I can toggle on and off when and only if I’m home. Which is absolutely useless. I already can do that. It’s called a light switch. I’m either going to return this and buy the tp-link variety that seems to be widely accepted as the gold standard, or I’ll simply throw this in the garbage because that’s where it belongs. Or I might just get a mechanical timer, like I have in the past. You know what doesn’t fail to do what I want? A mechanical timer. Silly me for thinking technology had come far enough to just work. If 0 stars were an option I’d give this 0 stars.

The power strip works fine and pairs with Alexa. Whats annoying is the buzzing noise when plugin and something are loose inside thats rattling. Update: I received my replacement today and the power strip works perfectly with no issues
