So far so good! Downfall, you have to hold onto the steam button in order for it to steam. Other than that, the product works well and it was pretty gross yet cool to see the crud come up from my tiles!!! Its like I have whole new kitchen floor!!!

Other than being lightweight, this mop streaks my floors & the pad is always dry in its middle. Not the steam mop I thought it would be with the reviews, star ratings & Amazons Choice item. Dissappointed!

Long time buyer, first time returner? Save yourself the trouble and buy something better. I have learned my lesson thanks to this crappy Hoover steamer. I guess it’s true what they say about getting what you pay for. This item was a huge disappointment. I was so excited to get a steam mop but this is my first ever Amazon return and best believe I am immediately going on the hunt for an upgrade. I’m bummed this thing barely works. Doesn’t produce steam unless you hold down the trigger for far too long which I promise you no matter how strong your hands are will leave them aching in literal minutes. I moved into a new apartment with a sort of strange colorscheme going on in the bathroom. The wall tiles are off white with white grout and the floor tiles are medium grey with dark grey grout. Only… I was curious to see how my drill brush attachment would work on the new tile and after doing so I discovered that the floor tile actually matches the wall tiles. Or it did at one time. So being thoroughly disgusted by the fact that my bathroom floor probably hadn’t been adequately cleaned since the building was built in 2007 (judging by the solid 1/2 of filth completely disgusting the true color of the grout) I decided to figure out how I could most effectively clean and sanitize everything myself…. This will not do it folks. I guess I got it wrong but wish me luck on the next one :)

Its good to use in an apartment but I wouldnt want to use it over a large area b/c of the small water tanks. It does a great job mopping!! The hand held steamer is very heavy and awkward but the steam and attachments work great on a whole lot of surfaces. Overall, for the money its a great little mop. I just wish it came with more than 1 mop head.

I was sadly dissappointed with this steam mop. To be fair I have never been a fan of Hoover vaccums either but since Hoover claims to make their products in America with globally sourced parts I thought I would give them a try and help our economy by purchasing something that is at least supporting some manufacturing jobs here in the USA. When the box arrived it was clearly printed on the box Made in China I was not happy at all about the false claims Hoover is making regarding their products and if I knew it was coming from China I would have picked a different brand from China. I even posted on their twitter account and they still tried to say they make their products in the USA with globally sourced parts. If that was true the box would not say made in China That said I decided to give it a try. It works, and the floor steam mop works well. The hand held steaming is not very powerful and the plastic parts are very cheaply made. The hose for the hand held steaming feature is way to short so it doesnt work for reaching many places that I had planned to use it for. Even though it has two canisters for water they are both very small and always need to be refilled again before the floors are done. I am planning on keeping it until it breaks because it does work for the floors however next time I will be getting something different and not made by Hoover.

I love that it comes with the carpet glide attachment because my baby has severe dust mite allergy and we wanted to kill them in the carpet this way. I don’t love how I had problems getting the steam to come out on three occasions, all on the first day. Honestly it makes me not want to bother if I can’t be sure it’s going to work when I need it. The first time I set it up was for floor use, and it sounded like the pump was working but no steam. I read the troubleshooting in the manual, and re-seated the main tank. Eventually it produced steam, even though it was green light the whole time. The second time I had an issue was when the main tank got as low as in the picture. That pump sound re-appeared and didn’t go away. So I tried using the lift away canister and that worked. I refilled it and went to town, until the water level got to that point again, and it stopped working. I couldn’t get it to work on the floor mop again. Note: watch when using the hose. When you let your finger off the trigger, hang onto that hose till it’s done releasing steam or it’ll come back around and scald you! When it works, it cleans nicely. Haven’t tried it on clothing yet, or the carpet since I can’t get past the steam unreliability issue.

Over this is a super effective steam cleaner and gets up dirt you never even imagined was there. Its cleaning power gets 5 stars. But it drops a star for 2 reasons. #1 you have to hold the button down for the steam the entire time, which doesnt sound like a big deal, but if you have even minor wrist issues this starts to hurt quickly. And #2 the water tank is small and needs filled a lot which is really just an inconvenience. Overall this is a powerful little thing and the fact I got it for $64 I cannot complain. It does its job well.
