I couldnt get the water to come out of the 1st one. I returned it and ordered again given the reviews. Much better. I only wish the cord was about 2 feet longer but it is by no means short.

For the price point this machine gets it done! We live in an apartment that has a carpet that gets dirty no matter how careful we are and with one pass look at the results!

This is my third machine and Ive loved every one. It is durable, cleans beautifully, and is lite weight enough for me. I have a large house with lots of carpeting that I clean twice a year so each machine got a lot of use. Ive owned other shampooers but none can compare to the value, cleaning ability, and longevity of this one. And yes, I will buy another when I wear this one out.

Love, love, love this carpet cleaner! Does an outstanding job on my apartment carpets. I even used it on my apartment complex hallway carpet and stairs, which were filthy. Looks like new now! Lightweight, easy to use, easy to clean. Uses very little water and definitely sucks up what is sprayed onto carpet. Carpet dries withi 20 min. Have used it for two years. No issues.

I received my Hoover on Sunday, June 4, 3023. I have to say I was nervous to purchase this after reading some of the reviews concerning leakage. In my opinion, this is the best carpet cleaner I have used by far. It performed very well. The only issue I had was it did not come with the screws to attach the handle as it was suppose to. Luckily I had screws that fit. Outside of that I had no issues at all. I was amazed with the amount of dirt and dog hair this one machine collected. I am very please with the results. Great buy. No complaints here.

Initial reaction when I had first received this Carpet cleaner, was pretty good. Opened the box, only thing I had to assemble was the handle and it was ready to go. Most of the 5-Star reviews have covered the good part of its functioning. I will highlight what they may not have experienced yet. The SpinScrub brushes makes the spinning action using a turbine mechanism. This turbine has cheap parts and it starts rusting as soon as it comes in touch with water, which could happen right after the first wash. This issue has been widely reported in Hoovers other models as well, and yet Hoovers clueless Engineering team is unable to change the design or the parts and keeps on using non-stainless steel and cheap parts which seize to operate, right after they come in contact with water and rust. Check the following link on Amazon Q&A where a user has asked a question after his or her machine stopped working: https://www.amazon.com/Brushes-not-spinning-something-internally/forum/Fx23UOVL4I8KXTK/Tx26GM4WHEYHZHV/1?asin=B00009R66F When I experienced this issue as I was getting ready to use the machine, I did an online search and numerous videos on how to fix the Hoover carpet cleaners turbine mechanism. Its just been a year and have used the cleaner twice. I am very handy with fixing things. So, I thought, I will give it a try before calling Hoover for warranty claim. In my case though, it wont fix as the shaft between two bearings is completely rusted and jammed. The bearings are rusted too, tried using WD-40 and tried to move the part but it wont budge. I have now sent a message to Hoover Support, lets see how quickly they can have it fixed. I will come back and update the review accordingly. ----- Update as of May 4th ----- My machine was still under warranty. I had contacted the Hoover Support via email but they refused to send the affected part and instead referred to me to their authorized service center. I tried to reason with them that its waste of time for me drive about 11 mi to take the machine for a problem which I have already diagnosed. They refused and reiterated to take it to authorized service center. I had eventually taken the machine last week to service center. The service center folks were very receptive and told me that this is a common problem but good for their business. Warranty or not, they get paid either way. Service Center had called me last Saturday that they had replaced the part under warranty. I just need to now pick it up. ----- Update as of May 6th ----- I picked up the machine today and it has a new turbine that rotates the SpinScrub brushes. This repair was done under warranty but I am concerned that warranty would soon expire. So, I asked the service tech about what options I have when (not if) it happens again. He told me that the part is about $30 and their service fee for changing the part is $20. So, I will be looking at $50 expense every time this part needs replacement as the company WILL NOT ship the part directly to consumer even if they could handle the repairs themselves. An additional fact to keep in mind before you pick this cleaner.

This machine is so simple to use and performed better than any of my other machines of a different brand. I love that I can take it apart after use and fully wash all of the parts instead of leaving it dirty which creates odors and grime buildup. Very pleased!

This carpet cleaner absolutely WILL get your carpets clean. I have owned many carpet cleaners in my time, and none of them have pulled up as much gross as this one has. To put this into perspective, I have 2 hairy cats, two hairy dogs ( GSD and a sharpei mix. Shedders for sure) as well as 3 children under the age of 10 who live their lives on a homestead. Messes are only second nature to us, and carpets are designed for destruction and gross collections. I go over a carpet twice and its coming up almost clean on the second round. It also pulls almost as much water as it puts down. Full and empty almost at the same time. The downside - people are NOT kidding when they say it has a small tank. I went over this small section twice and filled/emptied the tank 4 times. I understand if the tank was any bigger, this cleaner would be downright heavy and hard to move, but alas it still sucks to have to run up and down the stairs to fill it. In spite of this, I would still purchase this carpet cleaner again :)

Works great. Not for big jobs because the water tank has to be emptied constantly. But overall great product. It withheld my big job.

It’s okay as far as a do- it-yourself carpet cleaner- they’re ALL not fun to use! It didn’t work so well on a thin rug on my hard floor- wouldn’t suck up the water very well- but okay on carpet. The squeegee attachment for hard floors was NOT in the mesh bag or box as described in the manual. I’m impressed with the hand held attachments, though.
