> 3 dayReview 1: Caveat: I have not used this machine yet. It was delivered earlier today and I plan to use it when I get home. So these 5 stars are for ontime delivery, but I plan to write a follow-up once I have more information and experience. A lot of research went into this purchase. We have never owned a full sized carpet washer before, always using rentals. But I found we were not really renting as often as the carpet needed cleaning, so having one always handy made sense. For some reason Id always thought Hoover for vacuum cleaners and Bissel for carpet washers. So I was strongly leaning toward a Bissel when I started my research. The posted reviews for this model convinced me otherwise. My visiting daughters dog gave us a fresh stain just last night (fireworks), so I am anxious to try this unit out. Stay tuned. Review 2 - Follow-up: When I got home, I found the box had a huge gash in one corner. Loss of points for FedEx, but bonus points for Hoovers packing - the cleaner was undamaged. Assembly was simple (2 screws) and intuitive. Other parts snapped on to the machine with large solid clamps. Theres nothing fragile or flimsy about this machine. The print material does have some flaws: The quick start guide describes cleaning, explaining a first and 2nd spray pass, but goes no further. The full manual clarifies that this should be followed by at least 4 suction-only passes, to remove the water. Also, in the full manual, cleaning of the brushes is said to be explained in detail on p.16, but actually occurs on p.15. Two complaints Id read about in other reviews dont bear up: 1. The power cord attaches at the bottom forcing you to hold the cord up out of your work area. While this is true, there is a place on the upper handle where you can attach the power cord to keep it up off the carpet. That said though, the nature of this type of movement necessitates you holding the cord anyway. So this is not a design flaw, just the nature of the action. 2. Slight jarring of the unit causes it to disengage suction. I never encountered this. In fact, the only time I can see this even being possible is when your dirty water tank is almost full anyway. Essentially, there is a float ball in that tank. When the ball rises on top of the dirty water in the tank, eventually it gets high enough to block an opening, preventing you from overfilling the tank with dirty water. Pretty slick! If the tank gets close to full, and you jar it, I can see how the ball might prematurely splash up and block that opening. This seems pretty minor, and to me would just indicate you might want to empty that tank now rather than wait a minute or two, until it is completely full. Clean-up was impressive. Every place on the unit where crud (hair, other bits, etc.) could collect, was designed to be removed from the machine, easily opened, and simply but thoroughly cleaned. Water and solution go in 2 separate locations and are mixed only when used. The plus to this is that when youre done, you can throw out the remaining clean water and none of the solution. A small spot washer we had previously required tossing out the solution/water mix or starting out the next time with a cold mix. The end result: The carpet looks good, though some bad spots remain. Pretreating will, not surprisingly, be needed. The ammonia smell from a urine spot is now all gone. The dirty water, as seen with commercial washers, came out looking more like chocolate milk. The dirty water tank was cleaned after this and even when the carpet was totally redone with just hot rinse water, the suctioned dirty water was almost as dark. After a total washing and a total rinsing, the carpet dried in a fraction of the time that Id come to expect with commercial units. Doors and windows were open, to be sure, but cleaning was started after dinner and the furniture could be put back before packing it in for the night, and this is the Seattle area, not desert weather. After one thorough use, this carpet washer gets a very well deserved 5 full stars. Zero regrets on this purchase. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayMy first impression was that this was lighter than most carpet cleaners Ive used, but that does not have an effect on its performance. This shampooer has a very strong suction and is super easy to use. Leaves the carpet just barely wet and the carpet dries very quickly after. Make sure to follow the directions and vacuum first! Also, do a rinse run after you do a shampoo run or the carpet will get stiff. The best for shampooing stairs!

> 3 dayThis is my third machine and Ive loved every one. It is durable, cleans beautifully, and is lite weight enough for me. I have a large house with lots of carpeting that I clean twice a year so each machine got a lot of use. Ive owned other shampooers but none can compare to the value, cleaning ability, and longevity of this one. And yes, I will buy another when I wear this one out.

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic scrubber. I will let any reader know very specifics about this scrubber. I previously owned the scrub master older version from about 4 yrs ago. The brushes stopped spinning and I needed a new one. I chose this scrubber because of the price, it came with alot of attachments in their own bag, and because its hoover. I believe hands down hoover is the best. Anyway. I chose this one as my new scrubber. BIG DIFFERENCE! My last hoover was way heavier than this one even before adding water. Also, my old one was longer in the front, making it awkward to carry because all the weight was hanging in the front. This scrubber is nice and compact. Shorter, lighter, and not as wide. Big wheels and short front make it very easy to turn, where my old one was harder. I always bumped stuff. Startup: cord is decent. I wouldnt say short its about average. this scrubber is very quiet. I actually think its quieter than my vacuum slightly. My old one was super duper loud I didnt even want kids downstairs it was so loud. This one is like a vacuum but you can immediately hear the power. The brushes scrubbed so well I could feel the brush vibration sometimes from how powerful. take others advice, rinse wash rinse. Rinse gets your carpet damp enough to work with the soap and move with the brushes easier when you wash. Im 8 months pregnant and can handle this machine so well. Does not strain me to use, and I can actually carry it. Tanks: two tank system plus other compartment for solution, perfection! They are slightly smaller tanks than the scrub master, but Im fine with that because the machine isnt as bulky or heavy. If you ever owned a huge scrubber, you would appreciate the lighter weight, but its not too light. The $89 Bissell classic model, is alot smaller than this machine (for comparison). So I love the size. What took only one tank on my old take just a little over one for each step (rinse step rinse) but honestly I dont care if rather refill than drag a huge machine. Result: my carpets are very clean now. Even spray! The powerful brushes fluffed up my carpet way better than my old machine. Oh my. So soft to walk on and the high traffic area that was crushed down I could barely get up with my old machine, is so fluffed now! So better performance, shocking for a smaller machine. Cleanup: Advanced! If you have ever seen someone elses scrubber, the front window where the water and dirt is sucked up is always disgusting! My old machine came with a thin tool to scrape some gunk out, but I lost it and over time the hair and dirt just collected in it. No way to take this part apart on any machine to clean it. Its sealed and screwed down. On this scrubber, you can actually take it off and clean it! What!? With a V shape it isnt holding a ton of dirt, and the hose attachment flap is in the center so you can rinse the whole inside of this piece. This is a huge plus, people. You can clean everything on this machine spotless when you are done. Please do clean after every use, it only took me ten minutes but it prolongs the life of all scrubbers. I used and cleaned it and it looks brand new, cant even tell I used it. Anyone who owns a scrubber knows how amazing that is. I have struggled with my old one trying to get it clean but never could get that front part clean enough. Gross. Final thought: LOVR THIS MACHINE. Im sorry some other people had trouble, it happens with some products not every one is perfect. This machine didnt leak like my other one, light, and very powerful. I know scrubbers, and this is top knotch! And for $130? Are you kidding!? Fantastic. If you have very tough stains I buy carpet spray spot cleaner and pretreat sometimes, which who cares I understand some stains depending what it is can be hard. But this scrubber is top of the line. Trust me. Why spend more money? Get this machine.

> 3 dayI have carpet that’s really brand new, only six months old, but because it’s very light, it took stains quickly, even though I had people takeoff their shoes. I couldn’t find a carpet cleaner who would work Highup on a penthouse, so I decided to just buy one and see how it went. I figured I could return it if it didn’t actually work. That’s the thing I like about Amazon. I think the picture speaks for itself. The carpets were badly soiled and you can see on the middle strip where I cleaned only one side, that the clean side is almost like brand new. I’ve never written a review before, but I’m motivated to do this, because it worked beyond my expectations

> 3 dayThere’s only a few reviews specifically about shag rugs so I wanted to add mine for anyone curious! I bought a used shag rug off of marketplace (I know! The horror!). I’ve always wanted a luxuriously plush shaggy rug, but was worried about the upkeep. I decided to buy one used, and cheap, before committing. I got this rug and vacuumed the heck out of it. It took 4 vacuum sessions, and a few shake outs to get all of the junk out of the deep fibers. Then I went to town with the shampooer. I have owned the power dash pet cleaner as well, and this one has less suction power in my opinion. The bristles also seem gentler and not as vigorous. However, this model has many more pros than those 2 cons. Taking out and emptying the chamber is so simple compared to the dash. I love the hose attachment. But the best part of this model is the RINSE option!!! LOVE IT! This rug feels so sparkling clean now. I even dug through the fibers to make sure I got all of the crud out of it. This machine did not eat up the long fibers at all, either! I will say that it took a lot of drying which was very tedious. If you’re cleaning a shag with this, make sure to really spend extra time drying it. I then hung it to dry out even more. I don’t expect this shampoo model to last longer than a year or two unfortunately. It seems all of these machines get too broken down internally by moisture. I owned two powerdash pets that broke within 1-2 years. This time I am trying to really focus on airing out the unit before putting it back into storage. I will update if anything goes amiss!
