> 3 dayWe put this on some joist before a storm and was a little afraid of that the wind would rip it off. But nope. It stayed right where we stuck it. We we not able to get the Azek on till a week later and it looks good as new. Recommended product.

20-12-2024It meet and exceeds all expectations, only issue all the rolls seemed run short measured several times to make sure I had enough for joist on my deck and was still about 4 feet short

> 3 dayI used black Ipe Clips to fasten down my deck, and this tape makes the clips effectively disappear. The adhesion is incredible - highly recommend.

> 3 dayWell, this joist tape is sticky. It is black and it is thick. Easy to peal and apply. It is super sticky so it stays where it is put, and is hard to remove once it is set. I used this to cover the top edge of the 30 year old beams and joists when I replaced the decking boards on my deck. Will it work? Will it prevent rot? It seems like a good idea. I will never know. By the time that the deck boards are removed years from now I likely will not be here to find out. Others have noted that they found it hard to cut. I have some advise. Do not use a knife. Scissors work best. It took some practice but I found that I had to cut steady and slowly so as not to cause the tape to separate from the plastic backing. If you get any of the sticky goo on your scissors, you are done and need to clean the scissors before cutting again. I used a clean rag and some carb cleaner to refresh my scissors when they got gummed up.

> 3 dayI cleaned the joists and beams thoroughly with a broom and vacuum. It was going to be a hot day, so I did the taping in the morning when it was about 75 degrees. I had no problems with this tape sticking. It was fairly easy to peel and lay out. Curves on warped joists slowed things down a bit, but overall it went pretty quickly. I walked on the tape to seat it. I live in an area where the climate is generally dry, so this is probably overkill (in fact 2 people at Home Depot here had never heard of deck flash).
