Greater than one weekI made some joist repairs on my 900 sq ft deck. I made th repairs in early August. Based on other reviews I really hope this product extend the wood joist life by 3 - 4 yrs.

> 3 dayI cleaned the joists and beams thoroughly with a broom and vacuum. It was going to be a hot day, so I did the taping in the morning when it was about 75 degrees. I had no problems with this tape sticking. It was fairly easy to peel and lay out. Curves on warped joists slowed things down a bit, but overall it went pretty quickly. I walked on the tape to seat it. I live in an area where the climate is generally dry, so this is probably overkill (in fact 2 people at Home Depot here had never heard of deck flash).

> 3 dayI’m no deck building master. I can only compare this to the Tr*x tape I bought for the doubled beams. To me this tape was better than the Tre* tape. It adhered good and was easy to work with. Just like all the other tapes don’t lay it on anything dirty. The sides of the rolls are sticky and will pick up any dirt it touched.

03-04-2025This tape worked so well that I had to order more to complete our deck. It even got wet from rain before we put the deck boards down and it didnt move at all. Very sticky but works great. Would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayI used Imus Seal butyl tape for a boat dock build. Feels pretty heavy duty. Worked good for my application. I used the tape to cover the deck joists and frames. I also used it for the abutment areas where the framing comes together. Some areas got additional attention with some polyseal compound from my putty gun. With pressure treated lumber the weak places are the wood/wood interfaces, and fastener areas. The Imus tape was easy to apply and ideal for this application. I expect this tape to add years to the life of my dock. Good investment!

> 3 daysuper sticky and seems to do the job very well. Guess I wont know for years if its properly protecting my deck joists, but it looks promising. I know when I back out some screws they were covered in the sealing material, so that seems good.
