> 24 hourExcellent in every way. Negatives: pricey. Instructions are not very good. Experienced aquarists, however, will have no problems using it. Despite all that, it remains one of the best salts of its kind.

> 24 hourI have used so many salts over the years I have forgotten some of the ones that Ive used. I used stuff that ran me $120 for a Tall 5 gallon bucket (probably like 7.5 gallons) that was lab certified to be this or that. I started to realize that I kept buying different salt every time it was time to buy salt, one thing I have learned is that consistency does pay off. I dont know if this is the best salt in the world, but Im sticking with it. It is economical, it dissolves easily, my water parameters test good with it. I run a mixed reef with it and corals are doing their thing, fish are swimming, and everyone seems happy.

> 24 hourGreat value. It seems like the salt to water ratio is high but all my tests are coming out with the right salt concentration.

> 24 hourI like the fact that I can buy a bag of this salt for 50 gallons on Amazon and have it delivered to my house for the same price of a small box for 10 gallons of the same product at the pet store. The mark up at the big box pet stores is ridiculous!!! This is my go to brand as it dissolves quickly and my water is always crystal clear after my water changes. Iv been using it for at least 10 years. Highly recommend!

> 24 hourLove instant ocean and this size package! Great for using it for my Hermit Crab saltwater dishes and I only use a little so this pack will last awhile. Would definitely recommend this size over the 15lb bag if youre using it for something other than an aquarium. Hermits and I love it!

> 24 hourI used to own a tropical fish shop, a commercial FW fish breeder and now just a retired hobbyist. I only use Instant Ocean salts to hatch and/or grow Brine shrimp now. I have always obtained superior hatches using marine salt mixes over rock salt. In the past, Ive cultured some corals but a true measure of a marine salt mix is to have reef fish breed in captivity. I have had pairs of Yellowtail Blue Damsels, Chrysiptera parasema) breed almost every week for months at a time in the early 1980s. In a different setup in the late 1980s and early 1990s I had a 125 gal reef tank. Mostly corals with a few fish. In that tank, my pair of Pygmy Flame Angelfish, Centropyge loricula and trio of Mandarin Dragonets, Synchiropus splendidus, would regularly spawn just after the lights turned off. Of course, I never successfully raised any young because that is too difficult if one is landlocked with no access to tropical plankton to fee the young but some have been successful in tropical Pacific and Caribbean ora.com facilities. Most major public and commercial marine aquariums use Instant Ocean because it has high predictable quality at reasonable prices.

> 24 hourIts salt for my marine tank. The fish seem happy with it. They havent complained that its too salty (thats what a Hydrometer is for). Beats the hell out of using a salt shaker from my wifes curio cabinet and shaking it over a 350 gallon tank. Id need several thousand shakers for that. Ill update this review once I hear back from my fish whether they like this brand or perhaps want me to switch brands. Oh, and there have been no deaths in the fish family after using it so I guess its working.

> 24 hourGreat value for the money! We use this for our saltwater pool in our hermit crab tank. We use 1 Tbs at a time since the pool is the minimum size recommended of a 2 cup capacity. This brand is highly recommended from all of the crab groups we are in. It has lasted for months and we are only half way through it. Will definitely be ordering more at the end of Summer.

> 24 hourUse this to change water for my shrimp (brackish water) and no problems! Just make sure you use correct mixture for brackish shrimp.
