Its a Jansport... These things last forever and the price has been the same since I bought my first one in 1991. They are durable and awesome. I have one I bought in 2000 that I still use. Worth every penny and this black one I bought for my daughter didnt disappoint.

You may not care that the pocket layout has changed if you arent used to having your things in their allotted places. The one good improvement is that the mesh for the water bottle holder is now taller and stronger so your bottle wont fall out when its full and you are putting the back pack on. I would much prefer some more small compartments that all the big ones of this current design.

Nice sized backpack, bought for school. The fabric seems a little thin but my comparison was a Jansport I bought 20 years ago. TBD how it will hold up before but love all the compartments.

Bought this for my daughter as her other jansport backpack was to small and was a light blue had stains all over it even got a hole already. So bought this for Christmas. This one is more durable and bigger so it holds more the straps on it are better also. Also hold her water bottle!

Too small for a 9th grader

Perfect size for my daughter whom is in 9th grade honors classes!!! She carries almost every book home with being in honors classes and the backpack has been so durable for her to do so.

This is a very strong backpack. So far I am enjoying it. I like the way that has a special packet for my computer. I am happy with my purchase.

I was concerned that this might be TOO big for my highschooler but its just the right size. She has to carry all of her text books and with this backpack they fit.
