> 3 dayWorks well, within its limitations. Its not going to turn your 90s tin can car into a modern lexus, but it was a pleasant change in my 2012 Miata, making everything sound more solid, the stereo sounds better, and marginally less road noise. Make sure to get the application roller tool, as its essential for proper application. One note, you dont need to entirely cover panels. One sheet or a large square on a panel will work 90% as well as covering the whole panel. The purpose of this is to dampen vibrations. It is not sound deadening mat, despite being labeled as such. For proper sound deadening you need something to isolate the sound. This is usually closed cell foam, or something like carpet padding.

> 3 dayI put this on my 78 F150 to reduce noise in the passenger compartment. I installed in the doors and on the floorboards. It is easy to install, high quality, and a fraction of the price compared to the big names in the industry. My doors now sound like a high end vehicle when they close and cabin noise has reduced significantly. Dont waste your money on the more expensive brands. This is just as good for a more reasonable price.

> 3 dayI guess I expected more. I even doubled up in some areas. I didnt do any pre-installation versus post-installation testing, but in my fairly noisy car, which is a convertible, I didnt really notice a difference with the top up on the freeway. It seems like there was a slight reduction in the temperature transferred from under the car (near the engine bay) to the floor inside, but convection of heat is ultimately not really blocked. Direct radiation is definitely lessened. My main goal was to reduce sound, and I would say that using 50 mil was a waste. I should have started with 80 mil and then doubled that. You do need to be careful in certain areas where this stuff will become too thick to fit parts back in place (like certain interior trim parts). I used the whole box of Kilmat on my little two-seater for the interior, a little in the doors (where I could reach) and in the trunk. I doubled up on most of the trunk and on the driver and passenger floorboards (up to the firewall where I could not really stick more of this stuff). Compared to what I read about other products, this doesnt have any smells that I noticed. I pressed it all in with a little roller that I bought online.

> 3 dayVery impressed with the performance of this mat, especially for the price. I installed it on the floor and rear of the cab on a 2006 F350 6.0 Powerstroke. I still havent finished the job but Ive heard enough to rate the product. I plan on doing the doors and ceiling tomorrow. I started the truck just now. This is without the factory carpet and pad installed. Without the boot on the floor shifter. Without the seat installed. The cab noise has been significantly reduced. Night and day difference. This is the most affordable mat I could find and absolutely will be buying more for two other vehicle projects I have.

> 3 dayI have an old car from the 70’s and it has the normal rattles and such, well it did. I used this in my trunk and in my dash. I’ll be doing more of the car later. My main problem was in the dash, and that is all gone. My subs seem like they have more bass too. I’ll end up doing my doors and package tray with this and I expect to have extra, so I think it was a good purchase. I could smell it a little, but not bad. I sprayed it with some plastidip in areas that I thought might get more heat and maybe smell a little more in the summer. I’m not concerned however because once it has out gassed, it would not be an issue anyway. Really good stuff.

> 3 dayBest bang for your buck. At a fraction of the cost of name-brand sound mat, this is absolutely unbeatable. I appplied liberal coverage (~80%) in my daily driven Nissan Juke, and the difference is definitely noticeable. Drastic improvement in sound quality inside, and a pretty significant reduction in noise heard outside. I also applied some matting to the floorboards, door, and roof skins on my G35 which really only sees track days. I’ve had it in my G35 for several years now, and have seen no signs of decreasing adhesion. Bottom line: don’t spend more for a product that isn’t really all that much better, when you can have a comparable alternative at a fraction of the cost.

> 3 dayI used this in conjunction with egg crate foam material. This inexpensive box went a long way for my Crosstrek project. The car had ridiculous amounts of road noise, could barely hear voices on the stereo. I good roller helps for application. You can cut this stuff to fit anywhere you can reach. I used the egg shell for harder to reach areas. I only applied the mat to metal as it was the sturdiest part of the car. If you ever have to take this stuff off its going to be one hell of a mess. Sticky tar/rubber base but the foil keeps it covered. I also made some non stick pads for the floor mats that work well. While I didnt take measurements with a db meter I did only do my four doors first and kept hearing weird car noises....I didnt do the hatchback. When I did that and added the floor mats my car was as quiet as could be. No ear fatigue from road noise and my stereo sounds great(with some other tweaks). This is subjective but I find that every toyota Ive owned has a pretty quite interior. My Crosstrek is now on the level and maybe a bit better than that. I can listen to the radio at a low volume and still hear.

> 3 dayI have used many sound deadening materials before. And the cost is normally outrageous. What I got in this pack did exactly what I needed it to.
