Product was used in a 2018 Chevy Express Extended Passenger Van conversion. After gutting the van we lined the entire walls in back and side doors, wheel wells and ceiling with the product. On our first short trip to a National Park we were amazed at how quiet the interior was on the highway. We could not hear most cars passing by and semi trucks were very muffled. The only doors we did not apply yet was the driver and passenger doors and yet the sound dampening was awesome. The application process was fun and easy. The lines on the foil backing made it easy to measure and cut straight pieces to fit where needed. We did purchase a heavy duty pair of scissors at the DIY store for under $20.00 which made the cutting of product easy. We even used some of the backing paper to create templates of some of the more challenging areas and used outline to trace onto back of product for a perfect cut and fit. We purchased two boxes and have a half a box left. Oh yea, we also purchased the metal rollers recommended for pressing the product securely against the area applied. One more thing, one of the reviews for this product recommended using a metal spoon to press product in hard to reach areas and it worked great.

Decided to go with 50 mil Kilmat roll after doing extensive research and cost comparisons with other well known brands. It was a no brainer on paper. Pros: - Super easy to work with and extremely pliable. Can easily be cut with household scissors. - Does not have super sharp foil edges and can be applied with bare hands - Very well packaged and comes in 50 pre-cut rectangle sheets, which is much easier to manage than a giant roll - ZERO SCENT/VAPORS - Decent adhesiveness when applied to a clean surface prepped with isopropyl alcohol Cons: - Stuff is a bit thin. However, you get plenty of product so I applied double layers to all panels for essentially 100 mil thickness. I noticed a rather noticeable difference in tone when I knocked on the panels with a single layer vs. double layer Probably worth your efforts to double up the first time. - the square pattern application guides on the foil were a little bit difficult to press down fully with a regular roller. So I went over them as best I could with a roller, then used the back of the handle of a large flathead screwdriver which really flattened them out and gave me peace of mind Did 2 layers on both the inner and outer skin of the front doors of my coupe and still have over half of the product leftover. Stuff is really good and made a noticeable difference in my vehicle with just the doors done. Have not even touched the trunk yet. Rattles were cut down substantially and I can hear much more defined and fuller bass notes from my mids and subs. The front stage just feels a lot tighter and envelops the cabin. Tip: you do NOT need 100 percent application with these sound deadning tiles. 60-65% coverage on a panel is all you need. More than that and you are just wasting product and adding unnecessary weight. Would definitely purchase again.

Best bang for your buck. At a fraction of the cost of name-brand sound mat, this is absolutely unbeatable. I appplied liberal coverage (~80%) in my daily driven Nissan Juke, and the difference is definitely noticeable. Drastic improvement in sound quality inside, and a pretty significant reduction in noise heard outside. I also applied some matting to the floorboards, door, and roof skins on my G35 which really only sees track days. I’ve had it in my G35 for several years now, and have seen no signs of decreasing adhesion. Bottom line: don’t spend more for a product that isn’t really all that much better, when you can have a comparable alternative at a fraction of the cost.

Ive used other products before - Dynamat, second skin, etc. They worked well, but were $$. This product is cheaper, perhaps just slightly less thick - though, not by much. It also sticks well and seems to quiet things down quiet a bit. Frankly, you can almost double it up and stay under the price of the other leading brands. I would suggest wearing gloves. The adhesive doesnt come off, but the material will slice your hands up - like paper cuts. Not a lot of fun. Aside from that minor gripe, the product really is a great value!

This was used in a Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van. I have plans to convert my work van into a light use camper when traveling. Used it to reduce the noise from wheel wells and the bare roof. Eventually I will insulate also. Easy to cut and flexible. Use a good roller.

Best bang for your buck... I was skeptical at first due to the thickness. Despite the thickness, Im very impressed with the Kilmat. So far, Ive only completed the for board and the difference it has made is undeniable. Its easy to install... Remember, Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The adhesive is quite sticky, BUT if you handle gently and carefully it will not stick to everything when trying to apply it. When applying, if you mold it as you go. It goes on Like Butta. As for the quantity... For my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo, 50sqft was more than enough for the front and rear floorboards so now Im going to do the sides and perhaps the roof.

I insultate the entire interior of my vintage VW Bus while restoring it and fell in love with this stuff. Easy to cut to size, GREAT adhesion and noise dampening. One NOTE.... It is REALLY important to wipe down the paint surface with a quality Wax and Grease Remover before you apply this product to ensure that it will stick well and permanently. Go Slo, Measure and cut carefully, clean, and apply, then use a separate specialty Seam tape to seal all the seams between pieces. Have Fun!!

I completely covered the floor and cargo area of my c5 corvette. It cuts way down on road noise a fiberglass car will produce. Virtually eliminated rattles and vibration. Greatly reduced the amount of heat from the torque tube in drivers compartment. Definitely improved the sound of the Bose system especially the sub
