> 3 dayGirlfriend and are I doing a mild camper build in our 06 E350. Were not going to really be living in it and most trips will just be 1-3 day ventures or for concerts. I also have everything easily removable so I can still use it to haul stuff. With all that I couldnt really be bothered for the 80mil for the large price difference. This does a great job. Its also incredibly easy to work with to cut around corners. We also used it to go over holes in the sheet metal on the sides after we packed them with insulation. The floor in the van has the kilmat down first then furring strips to balance the ribs with the foam board insulation then the plywood base to vinyl. With so much else going on top - the 50mil is the perfect thickness in my opinion for a van floor if thats your purpose with it. If you have the extra money and are super concerned with outside noise then Im sure the 80mil is just as nice to work with.

> 3 dayInstalled in a 2021 Dodge Challenger and has helped with rattles and hollow sounds from all locations in the car. Easy to install. Make sure you measure several times and cut once. Save all your scraps they will come in handy for those hard to reach locations.

UhhhhOkk...
> 3 day***update*** I updated rating from 1 star to 4. The smell was faint but did seem to go away. Car is in garage and hasnt been exposed to sunlight yet, but hoping there is no smell. So based upon reviews I decided to purchase the 50 mil x 50 sf package. My main concern prior to purchasing was a chemical / asphalt smell, and most people stated there was zero smell. Well, thats not true at all, there is an asphalt smell. I havent even peeled the liner off and I can smell asphalt coming off the sheets. After spending hours scraping off the old sound deadener and prepping the panels, do I really want to stick on this stuff? Also had a bad experience in the past using Fatmat about 10yrs ago, and that smell never entirely went away and was extremely strong after installation and actually gave me headaches for weeks. That purchase was also made based upon price. So now, trying to decide if I should send this back or not. Im leaning towards sending back, I cant deal with that situation again Id rather just spend a little more and get a real true high quality Butyl product instead of asphalt. You get what you pay for....

> 3 dayI was skeptical about the sound deadning quality, but after i installed it i realized it work. You gotta cover the complete floor and rear wall of a single cab silverado, for it to be effective . Dont try and cut corners, remove everything and clean everything well so it will adhere to what ever your applying it too.

> 3 daywas amazed at how much one box can cover, the parts I covered on my car definitely make it feel more solid and less like a tin can. For noise cancellation, I do not notice much of a difference but I love how solid it makes my car feel, and when lowering the hood it is definitely canceling all the noise of a thin piece of metal shed door closing noise that happened before, now it sounds sturdy and silent. some weird rubber smell at first but did not linger. easy to cut with scissors or with a razor, I am living in a desert environment so the heat of summer helped the stickiness/ adhesion. would recommend.

> 3 dayVery impressed with the performance of this mat, especially for the price. I installed it on the floor and rear of the cab on a 2006 F350 6.0 Powerstroke. I still havent finished the job but Ive heard enough to rate the product. I plan on doing the doors and ceiling tomorrow. I started the truck just now. This is without the factory carpet and pad installed. Without the boot on the floor shifter. Without the seat installed. The cab noise has been significantly reduced. Night and day difference. This is the most affordable mat I could find and absolutely will be buying more for two other vehicle projects I have.

> 3 dayI used this in conjunction with egg crate foam material. This inexpensive box went a long way for my Crosstrek project. The car had ridiculous amounts of road noise, could barely hear voices on the stereo. I good roller helps for application. You can cut this stuff to fit anywhere you can reach. I used the egg shell for harder to reach areas. I only applied the mat to metal as it was the sturdiest part of the car. If you ever have to take this stuff off its going to be one hell of a mess. Sticky tar/rubber base but the foil keeps it covered. I also made some non stick pads for the floor mats that work well. While I didnt take measurements with a db meter I did only do my four doors first and kept hearing weird car noises....I didnt do the hatchback. When I did that and added the floor mats my car was as quiet as could be. No ear fatigue from road noise and my stereo sounds great(with some other tweaks). This is subjective but I find that every toyota Ive owned has a pretty quite interior. My Crosstrek is now on the level and maybe a bit better than that. I can listen to the radio at a low volume and still hear.

> 3 dayOne box was more than enough to do an El Camino, including the smugglers box and ceiling. Easy to work with, but it will dull a scissors quickly so he was a good one.
