> 3 dayI researched several monitors to pair with my new M2 Mac Mini and chose this one. Very happy with it just as it came out of the box. Disclosure: Ive not tried tweaking the picture at all. There is a comprehensive manual that I have merely glanced at. Just out of the box this is simply great.

> 3 dayI recently bought the LG 27UN850-W 27 Inch Ultrafine UHD monitor as an additional display monitor for my Mac Laptop. I was frustrated by the small size of my laptop and used to get neck pain due to it not being ergonomically suitable for my posture. I wanted something that will as clear as my Macs Retina display. I looked at several monitors but most were either low on Image resolution or unreliable. I chose LG because of its 4K resolution, the screen size of 27 inches and the value for money. Ive now been using it for around a couple of weeks and I love it more with each passing day. Its quiet and silent and theres no flickering. I connected my new MAC using USB C and my old Mac using HDMI. The monitor will prompt you to change the input mode in case you switch from one laptop to another and thats a lovely feature! The LG 27UN850-W 27 Inch Ultrafine UHD monitor is available at Amazon at a competitive rate and meets the quality and image resolution parameters pretty well.LG is also a Partner for Mac so I knew LG will be a good investment.

> 3 dayI’ve had this monitor a few weeks. I noticed the disc it came with was not in a sleeve, just loosely thrown in there. It made me think perhaps this was a return, but I can’t be sure because the rest of the items looked to be packaged correctly… I was frustrated at first because the provided USB-C cable didn’t work with my M1 MacBook Pro. I thought I had received a dud. Looked up some troubleshooting options and nothing was working. I packed it up to return. The day I was going to send it back I decided to check online again for any options. I saw a reddit post from that morning where someone said they had to get a new Thunderbolt 3 cable for the monitor to successfully recognize their M1 Mac. I ran to the store to get one and voila! It worked. The cable was $40 which adds to the cost of this thing, but it’s much cheaper than the 5k option (for the 27inch monitor) they sell at the Apple Store. Overall, I’m really happy with it for the price. I love the single-cable life—no dongles needed since my accessories connect to the monitor itself—making switching laptops from work to personal at my desk easy (with a good double laptop holder). I also think it does a good job of waking in sync with the laptop when I press on the keyboard or move the mouse.

> 3 dayI bought this model LG because this is the model that I read that was used in a lot of Apple iMac models. I wanted a display that had excellent color accuracy since I do photo and video editing. The first one I bought was FANTASTIC! I could see that the colors, contrast, etc. were SPOT ON when comparing to my iMac 27. I give my first monitor 5 stars in all categories! I purchased a second monitor of the same model. I wish I could say the same. The second was HORRIBLE! I made sure the settings were the same on the new monitor as the first one and the picture quality was terrible. I promptly sent the monitor back. Im worried about buying another one and it being just as bad as the second one.

> 3 dayThis is a great looking display with fantastic color accuracy. It looks nice side by side with apple displays. The built in speakers are acctually pretty usable (laptop quality sound). The included stand is excellent quality. The Included USB C cable did not work with my m1 Mac. I Solved this by purchasing, a certified thunderbolt4 cable. This display seems to require a proper thunderbolt cable to work with m1 Macs. A usb c cable wont work. I am using in a dual monitor configuration with the secondary display from another brand connected via HDMI. Sometimes the LG display doesnt wake up. I deal with it by hitting esc key, to put the machine back to sleep and wake it up again. Id probably blame apple for the thunderbolt issues, so I am going to stick with 5 stars. This is a nice entry to a pro quality 4k display at the price point.

> 3 dayThis monitor is interesting. I’ve enjoyed my experience with it overall. However, it took me quite a while to figure out the correct settings to be able to use it. The default settings have extremely high contrast. Reds were appearing as some sort of neon red/pink color. I got it figured out after a lot of trial and error. One of the big reasons I got this monitor was so that I could use a single usb-c cord for charging (Mac) and attaching to the monitor. Unfortunately, the monitor doesn’t provide enough power to actually charge the computer. It just dies much more slowly. I use it as my home office computer (graphic design) and it lasts for the whole work day, usually. Then I have to plug into the original charger at night. I didn’t think I would have to do that, so that was a little let down. Anyway, it’s a great monitor overall. Just has a few hiccups that can be worked through.

> 3 dayDCI-P3 98% coverage, brain dead color calibration, 4k, 32in, and the blacks are similar to my va monitors. Checks all the boxes off my list. The refresh rate could be higher but that doesnt matter for my work so this is a 5 stars from me. Nice value from what I can tell.

> 3 dayNot the greatest monitor I’ve ever owned but not bad for the price. Only gripes: 1. The arching stand is atheistically pleasing but functionally ridiculous. Takes up a great deal of real estate on the desk and does not seem as stable as a more traditional monitor stand. 2. Why on earth would anyone send the manual on CD in the year 2023? Either print out a one pager on how to navigate the menu system or give us a QR code to find it on your website. I just want to plug and play, not go through a wild goose chase to find out how to use all the features I paid for.

Greater than one weekJust to clarify, the manual does show that this monitor only comes with a type-c cable. No hdmi included. I bought it for my macbook and this one charges it right away. Before this I didnt do much research and got a 2k 24 inch monitor and the text is way too small. I would like a 4k 24 inch but there are only a few and they are more expensive. 27inch is still a bit too big for me bc my desk is not on the giant size. But 4k looks so good after adjustment and I am very happy with it. The only issue is that i dont see any difference between the 2020 model and 2019 model and the older one costs 50 dollars less. Lenovo customer service dont see any difference either. If you dont mind you can go get the ul version.
