This is a great little hub thats effortless to integrate. Just plug it into your modem or router port and youre good to go. Made of metal so its durable.

I went to go plug in a new system to my router and I realized I was out of Ethernet connections, being a total non tech person I thought I had to get a new router. I did some online research and found out that the solutions was as easy as adding a switch— so I bought this one and hoped it was as easy as everyone said it was. Thank goodness it was. I didn’t know that I needed to purchase an Ethernet cord in order to connect it, so that was a bummer....but once I got the new Ethernet cord the rest of the set up was as easy as plugging in a few cords and I was up and running. Whew! Super simple and inexpensive fix to needing more Ethernet hookups.

Hardwired infrastructure in vacation home. Connected to a big UPS and have a whole house lightning protector in the circuit breaker box. Security system, with video is connected to it. UPS-POE lets my remote cameras work even if the power is out. Mounted it on the wall. There is a wireless connection also, but I dont trust it, there are hundreds of wireless signals nearby. Hardwire rules both for security and throughput. Ive had these in all my residences. I run the CAT6 myself and terminate the cables. Never looked back. It works and I just dont worry about it.

I see many reviews complaining the ports are on the front and not the back, If those people new what they were buying the complaining would stop. This is a network switch that is designed to be used in a data center/ server room. Am surprised the complainers even bought it when the pics clearly show the ports on the opposite side of the power input. This switch work great and does what it is made to do.

Decided to run my own ethernet wiring through the walls and needed some extra ports to handle the wiring in two parts of the house. I purchased two of these. I have speed tests between tow computers on my LAN. Both tests were through ethernet CAT 6 cables. There are 30 connected devices on my small network (ethernet or WiFi connected phones, speakers, iPads, laptops, desktop computers, set-top boxes, TVs, weather sensors, and a robot vacuum). The first test was between two desktop computers running off the same NAT router (before adding this switch) showed 980 Mbps throughput for upload and download; the test after installing the switch returned the same values.

This is my second 8 port switch from Linksys. I have daisy chained it to my first 8 port Linksys and have several devices now operating off my Spectrum Router. Works good and is well made.

After reading reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the initial quality. Tight little switch, and feels well made. Getting full switched 1Gb/Gigabit rates. No heat or loose connection issues. Works have preferred power and RJ-45 connections on the same side for neatness, but its fine as is...

This is a quality metal enclosure switch, good visibility on the indicator lights, and easy set up. The metal enclosure provides enough weight to the unit that it wont slide around from the force of the attached cables. Works very well overall.

Works exactly as it should. Simple Plug-and-Play. Could not be any simpler! Now have my entrainment center hard wired. And a free/empty port to plug in another something. No more lag in gaming and watching movies on smart TV. Even being used at the same time.
