have not used this yet but Im sure its the same quality as my other liquitex products--a brand I rely on.

It works well as gesso, but labeling it as Clear is a bit of a misnomer since it does not dry entirely clear. Areas will dry clearish or white.

I use this product frequently and it is necessary for my painting style. The gesso is great but this time it arrive with the cap broken. I have a nearly empty bottle that I will use up and replace the broken cap. Just a real nuciance that’s why only 3 stars.

I had never used Clear Gesso before and it will now be my go to for creating overpainting and giving tooth to certain surfaces. One thing I have used it for is to paint over the face of someone from a magazine on an Artist Trading Card -- its great fun and of course ATCs are swapped but never sold.

This is really good for adding tooth to your substrate. I’m using an children’s board book as an art journal and it leaves a perfect surface without covering things you want left exposed. A little goes a long way so although it seems expensive it lasts a long time if used sparingly. You don’t need a lot to cover a double page.

Best gesso, love that you can pour it straight from the bottle.

Wow. This stuff is silky smooth and covers the canvas perfectly. I was making my own Gesso but this here is way better and easier. Highly recommended for acrylic painting.
