If youre preparing canvas or primed wood and Masonite panels for painting with oils or polymer paints such as Golden or Liquitex brands this is the Gesso to use. It has excellent tooth.

Cap was broken and liquid was leaking.

Much better than the student quality gesso. Worth the extra money

Does what it says on the bottle, nice clear gesso and a little on your brush goes a long way. But if texture is an issue, it feels like rough sandpaper when it dries and could damage brushes or alcohol marker tips (I use gesso in sketchbooks/art journals to be able to use both sides).

Easy to use.

Good for backgrounds, under painting, mixed media. Will accept alcohol inks also. Smooth surface or rough it up with palette knife. Have fun!

Not exactly the clear i expected it to be. It is a murky diluted white gesso.

Liquitex that is non-student grade is the best type of acrylic to work with. I am a full time art student, and only work with the best instructors who also recommend Liquitex!
