Very easy to install. Save time on trying to run rj45 cables around the house. It is not cheap but if the product last long time then I am OK with that.

These MoCA boxes perform great! I get 1 gbps with <5ms ping using speedtest.net through this and two routers! If highly recommend this if you dont have an Ethernet run across your house and can use the preexisting coax!

Im probably shooting myself in the foot but these have been working for me, and have given me zero issues to date. I had been using the actiontec moca adapter for about a year, it never worked perfect. It would work Ok for a while, then one or more of my moca-connected devices would just lose connectivity. The only resolution was to power cycle the actiontec. I have fairly good visibility into issues on my network but no way to troubleshoot the MOCA frequencies, or whatever was going on between the devices. I had previously used a verizon fios router as my moca connection, which never had issues, but I wanted to dump it for a better router + use something specific for the moca. I was very disappointed that the actiontec didnt just work. I switched to these and after 3 months, zero issues. I use this to connect some Tivo minis to their mothership tivo bolt, and my Xbox in a location where I dont have a wired link, so Im checking whether it works on a daily basis, and it hasnt failed me yet.

I definitely do not get the 1000 Mbps mentioned, but this was a HUGE upgrade over the EoP that I was previously using.

I bought (actually I bought two of these) a two-pack of these MoCA Adapters to stretch the network in my new home. The first hooked up easily enough and even the second Adapter was hooked up pretty easily too. Unfortunately the first Adapter seemed to be flaky though and left me with the impression that these just arent as reliable and durable as the same basic item from another manufacturer (ActionTec in my case). I had hopes that I could rely on these, and certainly wouldnt have ordered the second set of these if I knew that I was going to have issues with them soon after putting them to use. The other manufacturers product has not had issues, and ironically the second of the first two pack that I bought has been rocking along like it should leaving me with that question of reliability and potentially quality control of some of these devices. Why would one work and the other that came in the same shipment/box not work reliably? Thats the question that keeps me from wanting to buy more or give up a better rating here. 2 wary stars for this product. If it works for you, and you can use it reliably, then consider yourself lucky. If it doesnt work, or doesnt stay working, then perhaps you had the same problems I did, which might be solved by firmware updates (if possible), or might just be an issue were stuck with, leaving this item as a poor choice for long-term problem solving.

I wanted wired networking for my TV, Fire TV, and Hulu connections. I did not know that it was possible to have wired speed over cable until I did some Google searches. I watched some youtube videos to get an understanding how this all works, and it worked perfectly for me. Please be aware that it will not work on some systems. I do not remember which ones, so do your homework!. My system is Comcast and it works perfectly!

Just upgraded home network from actiontec ECB2500c. (Moca 1.1). Network LAN transfer speed went from 11MB to 100MB. Well worth the purchase!!

I needed this to get ethernet to a metal outbuilding I have that houses my home gym. My peloton kept having wifi issues, so I needed a wired solution. I already had ~100ft coax connection that hooked up to my main cable box outside via a tap. I removed that tap and disconnected the external cable signal (I have fiber internet and streaming tv). I then connected the feed from my master closet box to the 100ft external coax via a coax coupler. I dont know the length of the internal coax cable but I suspect its ~50ft. So 150ft of coax with a coupler in the middle. Then one of these boxes on each end. I was hoping to get 100-200mbps, but based on my speed test attached, Im seeing at least 820mbps. It might be able to deliver the full 1gbps as my internet connection speed can vary 750-1000mbps. I suspect people having connection speed issues are dealing with reduced signal quality (splitters or long runs or both), or interference while running other services over the same cables (cable, internet/etc). These can hit the full advertised speed if you have ideal conditions. Long story short, this is awesome as I now have my full gigabit internet connection available in my out building. Currently Im just using my peloton (only 100mbps), but this will also allow me to add additional devices later if need be. I just hooked it up, so I dont know about reliability, but Ill try and update if I hit anything in the future.
