Oreck XL Vacuums Best Roller (1 Brush & 3 Belts)

This is the old version of the roller brush and will fit any of the older XL uprights that use the 11 inch roller brush. A guy at our local Oreck shop, also told me that this roller brush is the fix for the junk plastic ones on the newer Blue commercial Orecks. (The red commercial and older blue commercial XLs dont have the roller brush failure problems)

Simply said, this product restored my Oreck XL to working fine again. Im sure many problems can exist and this product is not to address all of them. For my vacuum, the bearings of the roller built up a resistance to spinning freely (eg. hair, other fine debris). Therefore, not even new belts would help the issue, however this more complete kit, including a new roller and the bearing mechanisms located on each end of it completely addressed my vacuums problem; and at a reasonable price too.

Installation was quick and easy and the roller was a perfect fit. Amazed that I waited so many years to do this replacement- the old roller had virtually no bristles left ( but it still seemed to pick up dirt very well).

30+ years Oreck still going strong, new roller brush and belt works just fine! I have no idea where the 9x2x2 measurement comes from but dont take any notice. It really is 11 1/8 inches from bearing plate to the edge of the drive pulley.

Parts (Oreck brush and belt) worked well with the QVC Oreck that I ordered years ago. The vaccum stopped picking up and was difficult to push. I thought the belt was broken. However, it was not. I was not paying $101.00 again to have my vaccum serviced (although I was told the service was free and that was the cost of the brush!). I purchased my own parts on Amazon and followed YouTube video to do my own tune up. Vaccum is working again. The brush and belt were easy to install and suction power is back in full force.
