Oreck XL Vacuums Best Roller (1 Brush & 3 Belts)

My Oreck XL Anniversary edition wasnt picking up stuff and hard to push. I checked the roller and it was nearly threadbare! I did not want to have to take it to a vacuum shop, so DH said just try to order the part on Amazon. I ordered this set and it took him about 10 minutes to replace the roller and belt. WOW. Even he was impressed--so much so that he vacuumed a couple of rooms! The vacuum is nearly self-propelled, it is so easy to use, and all the suction is back. Note: Weve replaced just the belt before ourselves and while this helps, replacing both (if needed) is the only thing that makes the vacuum work like new. Great product!

I bought an Oreck for their simplicity and ease of repair. When I smelled burning rubber I knew it was either the belt or the brush. Turns out it was both. One order and 5 minutes later and the machine is back up and running ready for crumbs for years to come. Not bad for $13.

After installing this my sweeper picked up better and moved across the floor almost effortlessly. The bearings on my old brush died making it extremely difficult to push and use. This replacement makes my vacuum feel like its brand new. Its worth every penny and Ill definitely be buying again if I need to in the future.

My only regret is I bought belts separately before realizing I needed the brush. Somewhat easy installation - definitely cheaper than taking to a shop - just need the right screwdriver.

This Brush fit my Oreck XL Pro Plus perfectly. And the vacuum works almost as well as new (6 yrs Old). I have two associated problems with this purchase. 1) The online product description is deceiving - the description lists the size of the package at 14 inches. I dont care about the package, Im interested in the product size. The brush is about 11.5 inches, not 14 inches. I had to call Oreck Customer Service to understand that there are only two sizes of Oreck brushes so this was the correct one for me. 2) a simple installation instruction sheet would have been helpful to include how to insert the brush relative to the words New and Old printed on the brush.

I now own my parents Oreck after they passed. I had no idea you have to put the brush in a certain way when replacing a belt. Now my belts don’t break after a few uses.

I have an Oreck XL Pro Plus that is about 6 years old. Lately I just felt like it was really hard to push and wasnt sucking things up that well. I thought maybe I would have to get a new vac. I noticed the brush on my Oreck looked terrible, the bristles were all worn down and missing after so much vacuuming (I vacuum ALOT). I stumbled upon this new brush set and saw all the great reviews and decided for $12 to give it a try. WOW, my Oreck is like new again. Suctioning great, grooming the carpet great, super easy to push. It was so easy to change out too. Luckily my belt was in great shape after 6 years so didnt really need that but replaced it anyways. If your Oreck is not doing as well as before, get this, change the brush and it will be like NEW again! Cant beat the price. I think Ill start changing out the brush once a year or when needed since I vacuum so much. Love it!
