Only problem I had with this was getting windows to recognize it. I had to migrate my old boot drive over with the software before I could get it to work.

Did you check the slot you plugged it into to make sure its an X.4 or higher? The port you plug these into determines the speed on most of these drives, so double check to make sure you didnt plug it into an X.2 slot that can barely handle 1,800 Mb per second. I do recommend a high-speed SSD even in a slower port because the heat sensors and the slower speeds (for us non-gamers) will keep the heat down and will make it last your lifetime. Also, the high-speed capability of the SSD will eliminate any latency that might be happening on a slower card due to possible buffering issues. I have an SKHynix 2TB in the X.4 slot and this one in the X.2 slot. Since LG had a 512G in the X.2 slot, I figured I should put another Hynix in its place and pair it with something else with similar ratings. I honestly cant tell the difference between the two - blazing fast compared to my older computers. So, Im happy as can be with this thing - even though Im not gaming with it. :)

All attempts to move my data to this new drive have failed. The Samsung data migration utility never makes any progress and freezes up when attempting to write this drive. The recommended Samsung nvme driver fails to detect at Samsung nvme device. And the performance benchmarks show in abysmal 30 Mbps a second sequential read and a 5 mb per second sequential right let alone the iops are unacceptable well below the worst of solid state drives Ive ever seen.

Order was placed on 9 30 21, and shipped from south east US, and I received the older phoenix controller version PN MZVLB2T0HALB and a production date of 2021 07 22.

Works as expected for the most part. However one weirdness I have noticed is getting the occasional access delay. Most of the time when opening a folder or program it it occurs right away, sometimes it seems to have a strange hiccup and delay, if its a folder the folder will disappear for a second then it will be noticed.

Installed in my Asus Rog Strix B550 mother board and work perfectly. The most I love is how fast it is.

I bought one of these NVME drives and it worked great it worked and ran so well I bought another one. Great product I would buy another one if I had another spot for one
