VERY fast, I was shocked to see it live up to the advertised speed. I just wish computer processors were fast enough to actually give those speeds in realistic use cases, but hey I guess its pretty future-proofed.

Years ago, I built my wife and my father a PC. Both of them had Samsung SSDs In them for caching purposes. Those PC just booted up and ran quick. Now that I am building myself a PC, I just HAD to get myself a Samsung SSD for caching purposes.

It has great starting storage, it’s fast, it’s reliable, no issues at all been running for a couple months already! Recommend for sure can’t go wrong with Samsung!

If you’re thinking about buying this, just do it. Holy crap is it fast! I have just my operating system on this SSD and my pc startup is maybe 10 seconds. I used to believe the difference wasn’t this great, but I’m really kicking myself now for not making the switch sooner.

To start out, this drive is blisteringly fast. Top scores in just about every metric, if pure speed is your goal, this is the drive to get. This is my 6th Samsung SSD, following a 830, 840 Pro and EVOs, 860 EVO, and finally this 970 EVO Plus. Unfortunately, this particular 1TB 970 Evo Plus died about 3 months after purchase. Drive was no longer recognized in BIOS after functioning well from date of purchase.
