The quality of Samsung was the reason I purchased this SSD - it was recommended by the computer tech who installed the SSD on my Dell All-in-One computer. The new computers usually come with only 256 GB capacity on the SSD. This 970 EVO Plus has the extra storage I wanted and is very fast.

It does not come with the small screw needed to install it.

I have 13 2015 early model with 8GB Ram with 256GB SolidStateDrive, and I upgraded to 1TB. I think my old Macbook can last another 7 years. Computer is solid, and will do internet and write paper, and do fine with photos.

In terms of speed, this about as good as it currently gets for consumer NVME SSDs. Im not convinced all of that performance is noticeable in the real world, but if youre looking for a flagship consumer NVME SSD then this is the one (at least in late 2019). The endurance of the drive is less than the Pro model, but for most use cases you will not exhaust this before you replace it. For example, I have the 1TB version which has a rated endurance of 600 TB written (the 500GB is half this). That is more than enough for standard PC use.

I bought this as a means to test. I will be building a new High AMD Gaming rig and do recommend the Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series PCIe NVMe - M.2. it shows a speed less then what it really can do my Motherboard has no NVMe - M.2 Slot so it is installed to a QNINE NVME Adapter. both work well together later the Samsung 970 EVO Plus in my new rig will be my boot and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB or 2TB for games. Title says it all. I love my Samsung NVME. Great quality and technology and great value for the money. If you are going SSD and have a compatible slot on your motherboard or if you are building a new pc with one, then 10000% recommended. You will thank yourself.
