> 3 dayThis is the fastest SSD (SATA or NVMe) I have used and is faster than my 950 Pro, 850 Evo. However - unlike them and all other Samsung SSDs I have used earlier - the 970 EVO Plus gets quite hot. So not sure about long term durability and reliability. I bought a laptop cooler just for this SSD in order to try to help with temperature management for long term reliability. I am extremely happy with the performance though so far.

> 3 dayInstall was simple once I managed to loosen the m2 screw on my laptops empty NVMe bay. Faster than the stock WD Black 730. Lots of space for my games now, moved my steam library over to this drive and load times are definitely faster now that background processes from windows and such arent running off the same drive as my steam folder.

> 3 dayIt’s simple to install and get this working, it took me a bit longer because at the time my HDD was failing and I was running out of time and was a little to panicked but got this bad boy running and my pc before took 35+ seconds to boot up, now it’s like maybe 10

Greater than one weekRe-writing my review, as this drive did not work with macOS when I first bought it. Luckily, they published a firmware update which solved that problem. So I can now report that this drive works great. Its extremely fast, actually bumping up against the limits of the PCI-Express bus that M.2 slots use. Great value from a reputable brand. Im glad I didnt send it back, and instead just waited. If you have one of these and its causing crashes and reboots with macOS, update the firmware on the drive.
