The reason I give it 4 stars is because a screw was not included with it so I had to dig EVERYWHERE at my home and work place to find a screw that would even remotely fit/be the right size.

Samsung is amazing for storage right now. Very fast, very big, and the price is great.

Using this drive in a USB enclosure, I couldnt clone the existing drive in my Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd generation. The data migration software would run for 20 seconds, then stop. I tried the new drive on an old desktop, and the data migration software worked. I contacted Lenovo, and they couldnt help. I contacted Samsung support and they quickly diagnosed the problem, which was two fold. The C drive on my laptop was bitlocker encrypted, and the enclosure was being recognized as an SCSI device. The Samsung Data migration software doesnt work on bitlocker encrypted drives, and it doesnt work with SCSI devices. Samsung recommended using 3rd party software. I used AOEMI software to clone my bitlocker encrypted drive, with no problems. The drive is FAST, and I get the full advertised read/write speeds.

Made my speedy laptop even speedier. The product was easy to install, and works perfectly. This was my first time purchasing a drive of this kind and Im glad I made this purchase. Good price, great product, would recommend.

Computer boots up and is ready to use in less than 10 seconds.

Ok this was my first ssd and it did not disappoint. Start up time went from 5-10 mins on my old build to 10-20 seconds in my second build. I still use HDD but the SSD is my boot drive and I will stay with that.

Bought this in Feb 2022. The product failed and disappeared from BIOS with my boot drive in Oct 2022. It was still under warranty. After a quick Google search, I saw that a LOT of the 970 drives failed in approximately the same way as mine: random files were corrupted, then the drive went to read-only mode. Then the drive disappeared from BIOS. After the sojourn of trying to find the warranty return process, after 2 days I got the right place to ask for an RMA. Got it, sent it off. I was told 4 days later that the drive was being repaired. Ill update this review at the end of the process.
