> 24 hourWould be nice if it came with a SATA cable but no one really does that these days. Overall, good value, good performance.

> 24 hourI have a pair of laptops that work okay but are really slugs, taking a real long time after boot to settle down and be usable. I did some analysis and found they were both at 100% disk utilization. Could not find any software reasons for this so when I saw this drive on sale I went for it. The Samsung disk clone software ( free download location in the instructions) worked very well with only one exception (more below). Drive seems solid and once installed really fixed my issue and now the laptops are ready to go within a minute or less. Disk utilization down to only a few percent. Much cheaper than a new laptop, should get another 3-4 years out of the ones I have now.

> 24 hourI was suffering with a HHD on my HP i7 processor. Very sluggish until I started my computer science courses. My professor told me to replace my drive with an SSD and suggested this exact SSD.

> 24 hourI got this SSD for $50, I definitely would not buy it at retail price. $90 Is a bit steep for only 500GB, but on sale this product is perfect. The SSD looks sleek and clean, so if your case has it in the open, looks wont be a problem. Installation is quite simple, usually only takes 2 screws or less. Loading times are super fast and this drive is quite reliable.

> 24 hourI installed this in an old i3-2400 Compaq (12g ram) to replace a working 7200 HDD 250gb drive. This SSD really heled speed up the feel of this computer. Apps open up faster and the PC is more responsive. $40 bucks well spent .

> 24 hourJust bought an older Dell E6510 with great specs but a small Hard Drive. I decided to go from a mechanical drive to this solid state one which is 4x the capacity. I bought a Sabrent USB to ESATA adapter cable. Following Samsung’s installation instructions, I downloaded two programs to my existing hard drive. When I had attached this SSD to the laptop using the adapter cable, I ran Samsung’s “Data Migration” which quickly and flawlessly cloned the old HD. I removed the battery, slid out the old HD and inserted the new SSD. The SSD didn’t seem to fit. Comparing it to the old HD I saw it was a bit over 1/2 as thick. That extra wiggle room made it so that the SSD connector didn’t line up quite right. I popped the back cover off my laptop to get a better view. I was then able to clearly guide the drive onto its connector. Once I had screwed on the mounting screws(not included), all the wobble was taken away. The computer fired right up on the first try. I use Samsung Wizard to ensure the health of my new drive. It’s fast, easy and well worth the price to upgrade!
