Easiest way to add new life to an older computer. I replaced the old mechanical hard drive with this solid state hard drive. Computer response time increased dramatically. It increased enough for me to upgrade the operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It was much cheaper to replace the hard drive then buying a new computer.

I worked on my old Dell e6320 for months trying to fix its issues. All tests showed that everything was fine ... but it wasnt. I finally popped for this SSD and made the migration, which was super easy by the way, and BOOM FLASH --- lightspeed! Im thrilled with the results!! If you havent made the move, and youre wondering what the heck is wrong with your machine, try this ... you might be very surprised. Just do it.

Seq Read speed of almost 360MB/s, Seq Write speed of about 300/s. Thats with an external USB setup. If you do this, MAKE SURE YOU USE A USB 3.0 CORD AND A USB 3.0 PORT ON YOUR PC! If you use 2.0, you get abysmally low speeds of around 30ish MB/s. But wow this thing is quick, even as an external! Plan to get a caddy in the future but for now, this is great! Easily 3 times faster than my old HDD!

If you dont have an SSD installed do it, it is the most cost effective upgrade you can do. The speed increase is immediately noticeable. SSDs are so cheap now there is no reason not to do it.

Thanks for getting it here so quickly, installed it in my G580 Lenovo to replace old 5400RPM mechanical drive. Boots up in 9- secs insead of 30-45 secs, running Windows 10

No issues so far. The drive has been installed for 2 weeks and has been working fine.
