Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Ive had this drive for almost 3 months now, and so far its been fast, and reliable. My boot time has gone from 30 seconds, to less than 7 seconds. Id totally recommend.

This is the second SSD I purchased of the same model and make. Earlier I replaced HDD of a 10 year old Sony Vaio which was sitting untouched for the past 4 years for slow performance. Once I replaced the HDD the booting time improved remarkably from 2 and half minutes to just 8 seconds. Now I am using the laptop every day. Coming to the second purchase, last year I purchased a HP laptop with 1-TB HDD in thanks giving sale for my wife. Bought it even after knowing the disadvantage of HDD apparently fooled by the sale price. Same old story repeated, my wife was constantly complaining the slowness of the computer and the complaints reached peak level I wanted to adventure the SDD upgrade as the HP laptop hardware configuration was bit complicated. Luckily with some youtube videos I was able to replace the HDD with this and boom. Guys if you have any laptop with HDD it is not because you dont have the i7 it is purely the hard drive that is killing the performance. Just upgrade it with SDD and you will see the magic. I did lot of research of different makes while deciding the SDD and majority were recommending Samsung EVO. I tried and it did not disappoint me.

The drives: absolutely great SSDs with a good reputation for being long-lasting and good quality. Seriously, pay the little bit extra - it matters - read the reviews.

Purchased this drive to correct issue with my computer was slow to boot and would take a long time to load apps and surf the internet. I used the free software from Samsung to clone my drive and it worked perfectly. Highly recommend for replacement of the drive on any pc or laptop.

Paid $1 per gb for my old $250gb SSD, paid around $0.17 per gb for this 1tb. Man, thats crazy! More fast storage for games/programs, rather than using my slower 4tb HDD.

Ordered from Warehouse deals at a discount and everything looked fine at first even had inspection sticker on the box, and even the outer case said 500gb.... It installed fine until I went into Bios and noticed it was only listed as an EVO 850 250gb after further inspection I noticed the case was loose and the screw holding it together had been marred/tampered with... I assume someone switched an old one out into a new case and got a full refund for an old drive...., I even offered customer service a very fare $75 discount for an unwarranted, tampered with device, since the drive checked out OK, but they only offered me a very firm $50 off , so theyll just get it back so they can lose money trashing it or falsely pass it off again to someone else who will return it or possibly do the same thing ...Moral of the story, they DO NOT check returned products very well so check your products carefully when buying from warehouse deals and they are only allowed to give $50 off even if they are gonna lose money in a vicious cycle of stupid in the end...
