Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I was suffering with a HHD on my HP i7 processor. Very sluggish until I started my computer science courses. My professor told me to replace my drive with an SSD and suggested this exact SSD.

I bought three of these drives after reading reviews. The price was excellent and I wanted SSDs. I am tired of mechanical drive failures and the speed bottlenecks. Now video and audio production flow is smooth. File transfers happen at amazing speeds. I could get into the speed testing results, but everyone has a different setup they are using these drives in. I am running a 10 core Windows 10 Pro computer with a Godlike Carbon Motherboard. Installed is a M.2 Samsung Drive for the operating system with 128 GBs of memory. I split the memory in two and created a 64 GB Ramm Disk for a scratch drive. Next up, 2 GTX 1080 Video Cards and an external audio interface. Removing any possible bottlenecks was the goal here. Thanks Samsung ....slow speed is not an issue here.

Works pretty good. Disappointed my PC was not compatible with Samsung magic software for taking care of drive.

These SSD are really good choice. We already bought 15 of them, and non was defective. They all worked very well.

Finally SSD prices have fallen enough that I could justify adding a 1TB for extra storage. Got this Black Friday week for a great price. My gaming laptop boots from a 512GB 960 Pro NVMe, which is insanely fast, but I needed more room. While the performance of this SATA SSD cant compare, its one of the fastest in its class (and way faster than the 2TB HDD it replaced). Since Im using this as a data drive it was a simple 10 minute install (most of which was removing and replacing 21 tiny screws).

This SSD has made my laptop quicker than new. My laptop is about 6 years old (Samsung ATIV Book 8), and it was getting very slow with its HDD. At its worst, it would take 20 - 30 minutes to go from shutdown to normal responsiveness, and being able to reasonably do anything online.

Fast and works great. I have not had any issues and this is the 2nd samsung ive bought. Definitely would recommend and would buy again

Fast, runs cool, large capacity. The only downside is that it isnt an M.2 NvME drive, but for a SATA drive it seems absolutely solid. Im using it as my boot drive and it loads everything quickly without a hitch.
