Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Upgraded my HDD to SDD over the weekend, placed my non essential files on a HDD secondary and now my OS boots up within seconds, games run lightning fast. I was not a fan of the Samsung migration tool so ended up using Macrium instead to clone the drive.

I replaced my HD with this SSD, and there was a significant improvement in speed. PC boots up quickly. If you’re looking to move up to a SSD, I recommend this hard drive.

I bought the 2TB version of this drive to replace the 5400 rpm drive in my Acer Nitro Black Edition laptop. And boy does it make a huge difference when playing games (faster startups, faster load times)! I was pleasantly surprised at the read/write times running CrystalDiskMark, even after transferring 600 GB of data to it. My only complaint thus far is the data migration software that I downloaded from Samsungs website. It only allows you to migrate from the OS drive (which in my case is an M.2 SSD, which wasnt what I was wanting to clone). I wound up using Mini Tool Partition Wizard to clone my mechanical drive to the Samsung drive (using a SATA to USB-C enclosure). Installing the drive was pretty simple, in that I didnt have to fiddle with BIOS settings to get it to work, and it fit in my laptop perfectly.

Very great speeds for my everyday PC use. I use it as my main OS drive and Im gonna tell you now... SSDs are a blessing! Easy to Install as well. Overall great product right here.

this is great I have a computer from 2012 that I still main for gaming and this ssd paired with to hdds working really good I use the ssd for running programs like Photoshop and other internal programs and I use the HDD as storage for games and no essential programs and files. definitely a must if you dont feel like stopping 600+ on a new computer. BTW the pic I uploaded has the ssd hidden behind the HDD.

Boot up time is literally so fast, it loads before I even take my finger off the power button!

I purchased this to replace my Mac mini 2014 500gb HDD with this, and with some help from SUPERDUPER! to clone the drive, I am up and running in 30 min. The apps load instantly and boot has dramatically improved.

WOW! Absolutely amazing little drive; used a Calvalry SATA drive clone to duplicate my super slow 2011 iMAC 5400RPM HD (8GB RAM in iMac), installed and booted right up. Sooo FAST!! for $300 it eliminates any need for a new iMAC for a lonnnngggg time. Getting 550 MB/s read and write speeds. Boot time is 1/10 what it used to be and software launches instantly. Got a 2.5 to 3.5 bracket, thermal temp cable and in 4 hours, all done. Couldnt have been easier. Only one hitch......... Office Mac 2011 wont recognize the license, so for $20 got new license on Ebay. No big deal. Highly recommend this drive, you wont be disappointed. And I DONT write reviews often.
