Greater than one weekWow, this went in easy and revived my older laptop. Windows opens fast now and pages write fast too. Word Processors open like they were already open and minimized on screen. Dont expect the maximum data transfer rates as the drives performance is dependent on what hardware you already have. But 4x to 10x faster is still noticeable.

17-12-2024I got this for use in a computer running Windows 7 that I have dedicated for video editing. I built it a few years ago and run Sony Vegas which, by the way, is a great video editing program. Anyhoo, I had a couple of 1TB Western Digital high RPM drives, which did okay, but there was some delay in booting up the OS, opening up the main program, and video files. Now, however, things happen very quickly. When I open a file, it opens right now!

So far they have provided flawless service and have shown a significant increase in over all speed and boot time. Samsungs Data Migration software makes mirroring your old drive fast and easy should you choose to do so. I definitely will be buying more of these to replace some older drives in the future.
