    My iMac wasnt all that old, but painfully slow. I looked into replacing the HDD with an internal SSD, lots of steps. A little more research and it turns out my iMac runs nicely off this external SSD with plenty of storage. It seems very portable, but it is running my desktop, so it doesnt travel. I also like the bold color.

    I caution anyone from buying this from Amazon. Mine came in an Amazon padded envelope and the Samsung Box was partially crushed. The unit works fine, but the shipping shock could have issues later. Im returning mine.

    I initially had issues with this drive because my 2015 Macbook Pro cannot handle the usb 3.2 cable. I thought it was the ssd that was not working. But when I purchased a usb C to usb 3.0 cable it worked great. I purchased this cable: UGREEN USB C Cable 3.0 Fast Charging. for those that wanna know.
